You get what you pay for.
I want to share my experience with using this bike for almost a month now. I ride 5, 10, 20, 60 mile trips on this bike throughout the week. This bike will get you around but don't expect much more than a commuter, it's not a true road bike. Everything on this bike is weak/inferior but if you are willing to upgrade as you go then you can make it a decent bike. The paint job is pretty neat, and people comment on the color scheme daily. Get your bike checked out by a mechanic before you even think of riding. Wheels need to be tried and everything adjusted. Trust me on this it needs fine tuning past just being screwed together. As others have said the tires are the first upgrade I did. The original tires can handle 85psi max. My new tires are up to 110psi. 700cX25 size. Huge difference. The ones that came on the bike are like plastic.Next thing is if you plan long distance this bike needs a new seat. A narrower saddle to be exact. The brake quick release broke right out of the box before I even mounted the wheel to the front. The manufacturer was quick to send me two new upgraded calipers with pads attatched. Another piece of advice, go online and register your bike for this reason. So that being said the customer service was easy and helpful immediately. I never called in but I emailed them with pictures. 24 hours later parts were in the mail. The handlebars are wrapped very basic with cheap material so be prepared to rewrap them at some point. I havent seen many reviews that comment on the brake levers but man are these things barely accessible. They are not adjustable and you have to reach far out to grab them. It feels unsafe when you are flying downhill and need them to be a fingers length away. The quick release seat and wheels are a nice feature on this bike. Easy to put in the car and get on/off the road quickly. As far as top speed goes I think when you are peddling fastest the range is between 25-30mph.

An impressive deal for the price.
This bike is very impressive for the price. I needed to simplify a 10mi round trip commute for less than the price of public transportation. I have been commuting to work six times per week, with no major problems. The bike comes mostly assembled in a large box. The package is excellent. All you need to do is assemble the front wheel, assemble the seat, attach the shifters to the handlebars, attach the handlebars to the head, attach the included pedals and connect the brakes. After inflating the tires, and some minor tuning to the brakes and shifters, you are all set!The bike rides very well, and is quite stable. The handlebar configuration does not leave much space for mounting a phone or bike computer, so keep that in mind. I had no problems with the frame, drivetrain, or any part of the bikes construction, however I do need to re-inflate my tires weekly. If looks are your thing - this bike looks much better than a walmart bike. You might be wondering, how is all this available for only 200 dollars? To make it function great, there are few things you need. The provided inner tubes seem to lose air very quickly, so replacing those at your earliest convenience goes a long way. While the stock outer tubes are not terrible, some Continentals go a long way to prevent flats - you don't really need water channels, even if the road is slick. Get some lights so that cars can see you are very important.Overall, I am very impressed. If the included outer tube had been better, this would have easily been a five star review. I would definitely recommend this bike for anyone who makes a medium-long commute to work.

My Recommended upgrades when you buy this cycle are
Bike shop set it up and adjusted it for $60. My Recommended upgrades when you buy this cycle are: Continental 700x25 tires and put PSI to 100. Get a seat I recommend Planet bike ARS. If you dont do these you will get flats hella fast and have a sore a$$ :D Thumb shifter shimano gears were actually smooth AF. I have a new bike now w/105 groupo and kinda miss the thumb shifters :D :D :D P.S. Dont let clowns talk down to you because you have a Vilano. Its all about the rider and the upgrade parts. HAVE FUN and upgrade the parts i mentioned :D

Dream Bike
For the price, this is THE BIKE! I've been riding and working on bikes since I was 16, when I was 18 I used to ride 80 miles in one day with no problems. It has been 25 years since my last bike! I'm 66 and decided to take up biking again but did not want to invest much. The bike arrived almost assembled, all I had to do was to install the handle bars the pedals the shifters and the wheels. No problems whatsoever, had it done in 2 hrs. Surprisingly the derailleurs needed minor adjustment to get it where they make NO noise at any gear. Now they work exactly when you shift. The brakes also needed light adjustment . The wheel were completely balanced and no wobbles and none of the spokes needed any adjustment. The bike was a hefty 29.9 Lbs. I replaced the dreaded seat with a lovely Selles SMP TRK, also the pedals with pedals with lighter clip pedals and did not install some of the reflectors and useless items and got rid of some of the spacers for the handle bar vertical height, I got the bike down to 24.2 Lbs! Sweet!! Contrary to what I've read, the brakes work great, after minute adjustment they stop in a dime! After getting the new saddle I did my own; bike fitting; and it has been a dream to ride this bike. After having this bike for 6 weeks and putting 230 miles on it the only problem I had was realizing that I can no longer ride as long or as fast I did before. Other wise if you are budget conscious and a bit mechanically inclined you will have NO problems!Update - 12/5/19 After 18 months with this bike the only problem I have is making time to ride it as much as I wish. (planing to shorten the handle bars and replacing the wheels to make it even lighter)
