Love these filter housings! Just wish they came with fittings

Nicely made, its very important to know, although the housing is aluminum, the threaded part is steel, some are not and you could end up galvanic corrosion locking the threads up. I used this on my Cummins to save the cost of the other kits. I did weld up a simple standoff bracket to get it as high as I could and it is just above the skid plate line. This also enabled me to weld it to the frame (the bracket) but I through bolted it too.Shawn

Bolted additional fuel filter to frame to protect lift pump and injectors using Cat spin-on filter and NAPA Gold mounting base. Works great! Does not restrict fuel flow, saves pumps from contaminated fuel.

Seems like it’ll work even though quality of machining is bad (as other reviews have also noted). Gonna need some work before I use it (haven’t installed yet). Will polish threads first to prevent damage to filter base. Seal surface may also end up needing work. Won’t know until I install filter and check for leaks. Thanks to reading other reviews, I ordered expecting to see low machining quality. Definitely lower priced option and I’m ok with “tweaking” it into a decent filter base, all things considered.

Ordered two of these filter bases for a fuel system on a work truck and although I do not them installed yet they do feel very sturdy in the hand compared to others that I have used. Definitely would recommend for any one building a diesel fuel system.

Replaced the primary fuel filter with it on my deuce and a half. Along with the alternator also from Amazon.
