Mrs Nice
This book is a surprisingly good read. I read it in 2 days. Her description of male smugglers is hysterically funny. It is a very emotional book and a gripping tale. It fills in a lot of gaps from Mr Nice and avoids repetition. People don't expect it to be good because she is 'the wife' which is ridiculous and sexist. Judy is clearly very well educated, with a kind heart and a wry sense of humour. She met all of the characters discussed in Mr Nice and offers a different perspective on the goings-on. Her accounts of prison-lfe are fascinating.

good and fast read
I really enjoyed this book, especially having read "Mr. Nice" a few years back. The female perspective does give the whole story another twist. If you enjoyed "Mr. Nice" you shouldn't miss out on this one!

Utterly riveting
This book provides a refreshing inside account of life with the fabled Howard Marks. The book is well written and in parts highly amusing. It shows another side of 'Mr Nice', we don't get to see in his book.It makes for a captivating and fascinating read.

Brilliant
I have been fascianated by Howard Marks and the "Mr Nice" story for a long time. I was a massive fan of his original book and I remember seeing him doing a book reading in the late 90s at a local theatre. Howard Marks was clearly a very charistmatic figure.I took my trusted copy of Mr Nice on a recent holiday and read it (again) very quickly and started looking on Kindle to see what else was out there and discovered this book written by Judy Marks who was married to Howard for much of the time that this stuff happened.I couldn't put it down and found this book complimented the original Mr Nice book perfectly and in some respects I found it more cohearant and some of the events made much more sense the way Judy explained them. It was fascianted to read of the events from Judy's perspective. As I always suspected, Howard wasn't always "nice", he could be arrogant, egotistical, selfish and sometimes downright stupid, but that's my intrepration from the things I read. Judy certainly didn't use this as an opportunity to bash Howard, she just presented the facts as they happened. If you have read and enjoyed "Mr Nice", I don't think you'll be dissappointed with this book. Highly Recommended.

Reality check on Howard Marks' account
Read this as a reality check to Mr Nice. Glad I did and would recommend it to others. Can't really have much sympathy for Mrs marks - she had more than enough moments of suspicion concerning her husband's on-going, nefarious activities to get out. Lots of brilliant observations though, and colourful characters.

Book seems good though condition of book mislabelled.
I recieved the book and have been reading it and enjoying the content so far however I am upset with the condition of it as its listed as very good condition when the cover is wrinkled, damaged and dirty.Judy Marks however is a good writer and so far I'd say a very good read.

Interesting Book
Well worth reading. I knew Judy and Howard Marks back in the 80's, I also worked on two of their properties in London and Brighton. Nice couple.
