Honestly for a cheap pair of kayak roof racks, these work just fine. Instructions are fairly simple. Some of holes for the bolts don't line up perfectly and the the bolts are a little longer than needed. Might want to make sure that aren't scratching your roof when you install them. Also the wrench provided only works with the locking nuts that hold the kayak rack together. Just incase, locking nuts are 13mm and the nuts for attaching the kayak racks to your roof racks are 14mm. Straps given are cheap, but they do their part. I will probably invest in better straps later on down the road. All in all, these work just fine. Took me about an hour to assemble and get them attached to my roof rack. I do wish that the brackets that go underneath the roof rack were wider but beggers can't be choosers. If I wanted a nicer kayak rack, I would have paid more money. 🤷‍♂️P.S. Once you get them installed on your roof rack, your not going to want to take them off for a while just because of how they attach to the roof rack.

So after reading mixed reviews on these racks I’ve decided to try it for myself. Installation was a breeze, only needed a 1/2” and 9/16” socket and ratchet (I believe). Be carful, do not over tighten brackets, make them firm and snug but no need to torque them to 100ftlbs. The easiest way to strap a kayak down ive found was by doing it with a single ratchet strap. Please note I did NOT overtighten the ratchet strap, I simply made it snug. You can easily bend the bars if you were to torque on the ratchet strap. Then as a safety I took the supplied straps, and ran on the the front handle and one to the rear handle of the kayak. These straps are cheap, I don’t recommend them to anyone for securing their kayak. The rest of the kit is nice and decent quality for the price. I’ve put over 1000 miles on with a kayak and haven’t had any issues yet, overall super impressed for the price.

BEWARE - do not use the straps that come with this rack! The straps broke going down the highway and the kayak went flying! Thank goodness no one was hurt. Kayak was damaged. Use ratchet straps!!!

My wife crashed into her mothers open garage door and doorway with this thing we forgot it was up there, amazingly strong yet flexible enough it left a faint scuff in the trim paint i couldnt beleive it we hit every rung on the garage door and again backing up this also survived a 10 hour trip with the kyaks loaded with gear averaging 80 on the highway

Fit perfectly, good quality! Easy to assemble. Only thing I will say is the provided wrench sucked. Didn't fit properly.

Arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. I mounted these on 1 inch square bars and use canoe foam blocks to mount on the roof of our Nissan Frontier crew cab pick-up. Able to carry 2 10 foot kayaks and they worked well even in high winds the first time I used them .

I don't know what I can really say about these - they are J-hooks and they work as they should! The set comes with some flimsy tie-down straps, so we don't use those as we have better ones already, but the racks themselves are good.

Got this to go on my truck's boat rack, alongside our 12 ft car-topper.These brackets could be about 2" narrower and it wouldn't affect its ability to hold a kayak. As it is...it's really hogging the little bit of room that's left, once our boat is up there.

Arrived missing the grip on one of the pieces. Don’t bother emailing the company’s customer service listed on the directions — they tell you to just return it to Amazon. Instructions were vague, but manageable. Good value for the money and they’d serve the purpose, but check your pieces over thoroughly before starting to assemble the racks!

Fácil de armar e instalar, el kayak queda muy fijo. No le doy 5 estrellas solo porque una de las correas quedó corta debido a la parte ancha del diseño de mi kayak por lo que tuve que usar un aditamento extra, pero fuera de eso es muy buen producto. Acabo de salir a carretera recorrí 80k a 100km/hr y todo muy bien!
