The Nashville Number System Fake Book Paperback – November 1, 2015

This introduction of how to use the Nashville Number system is probably the best around. It's a different way to play but like it says it's the most efficient way to play in any key. It's easier than sheet music with only a little theory required and far better than the TAB. I've used it to convert the dreaded chord sheets into something useful and useable especially when the singer wants to change the key. Songs are mostly oldies but goodies but fun to play through. Lots of how to use the number system on the internet for more help. It's spiral bound so it lays flat on a music stand.

I am good friends with Chas Williams and have always recommended his textbook on the subject, but now this new book by Dr. Trevor de Clercq will be added to my list of recommendations as well. This is a wonderfully designed book that details the basic fundamentals of the charting system and provides numerous charts for reference. My reason for buying the book was because of the amount of charts provided. It saved me time from having to write them myself. If you're seeking charts for classic songs in the method of the professionals that recorded these tunes, then I highly recommend you purchase this book.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a good summary of how the system works upfront, and a lot of classic tunes to go through to reinforce what you've learned. I had a great time just connecting on YouTube and playing through the songs.

Great book especially for gigging musicians!

I didn't find this music book was the least bit helpful in learning any "new to me" songs as it is very HARD CORE Nashville Numbering.I returned to book and Amazon issued a full refund.

Very comprehensive. Lots of information on the numbers system. Only wish I'd had this when starting out playing. A valuable addition to any session players library.
