Hair Salon lego building!
This is a very cool building block set of a hair salon. I've put together a few of these so far and they are pretty awesome. They are small pieces, so it's not for super tiny hands without major supervision. The instructions provide great detail, there were only a few areas that were confusing as to placement. It had all the pieces and is very cute. We made this a project to do with our four year old - really she helps find the pieces and then gets bored, so I end up doing most of it myself. But still a great building block set!

An OK alternative to the name brand, with lots of fun play
I'm a fan of these mid-size kits, whether from Lego or a competitor. They are fun to build in an hour or so, and usually can be combined with other kits. Even if it doesn't 'click' with your kid, they can usually take parts of a couple of these smaller sets to contribute to a village or large set. This one is an unusual theme. My child thinks it's a candy shop for bears, but it could be a build-a-bear shop. It has candy and bear elements. The instructions are actually great, which was a surprise. We had no trouble working out the assembly. The parts are perhaps not quite the same quality, here or there, with mold lines, or on the lolipops, but I thought this was a good quality for a long lasting toy. Everything fit together properly the first time. Some blocks aren't precise enough and slip out annoyingly, but these were fine and totally compatible with other building blocks. The design creativity is below average. It's colorful, but there's nothing here that surprised or impressed like you'll find with some brands. It's got a bear inside, and one on the roof, some shutters, some blocks representing items. None of it is really noteable. The price is below a dime per block (which is good), and it's actually a better value than this sounds as more stylized sets will have many small pieces, but this is mostly normal blocks. The complete set is not that large, but I think that's part of the point of the product. It would make a good gift for a younger child, especially if paired with other building sets, or if you know they have a lot of these already. This set really will be better combined with others.

Fun set for my daughter. Fits all major brands. .
This is a good quality set of building blocks. My daughter loves these and it’s nice to come across something that is just as good as the name brand. It saves me money. These do fit other major brands and it doesn’t take long to put together. Comes with the directions and once finished is really cute. My daughter has already taken it apart and started to build on to it with her other blocks to make other things. She loves this and it has been keeping her busy and using her mind. If your looking for a set of building block for half the price of the major brands then you will like this.I really hope this answered some of your questions and if so smash that helpful icon directly below. Thank you so much.

Instructions are wrong!
I got this for my six year old, who promptly tried to put it together. After ending up in tears because it wouldn't work, I took a look to help. What I expected was that my six year old was putting it together wrong. That's not that surprising, at the end of the day. However, that wasn't the problem. The way that the instructions say to put this together is flat impossible. They tell you to put a 45 degree angle piece (the two white pieces you can see at the top in the back view) on top of a flat piece, which would be fine, except that the prongs from the 45 degree angle size cannot fit with the flat top tiles that they're supposed to be next to. There is simply no way for it to fit. (Also, it is difficult to tell from the photo, but the windows will not open with that white piece there.)I calmed my child down and explained that this wasn't their fault, that the instructions were bad. They went on to made modifications to the design so that it would fit. My kid pushed past it, but it was a pretty terrible design flaw that anyone who assembled it should have found right away.Otherwise an acceptable, if mediocre, toy.
