Good but flimsy
Great looking clock but it's not so sturdy, the mechanism was flapping around all over the place and it very plasticy but it is a statement piece that looks good from a diatance

Not bad
Not as "melty" looking irl, but good enough for the money!

Dali would be turning in his grave
Wow what rubish! Lightweight plastic and the hands fell off when I tried to set the time. RETURNED

Fun Dali novelty clock
This is a cool little clock. It’s readable and it sits on my bookshelf very securely. At under £15 it’s good value. I like how they have got it to look melted. Conversation starter for a good price. If you are a Dali fan or you know someone who is, this will put a smile on their face.

Less 'Persistence of Memory' - more seaside gift shop...
Controversial I know but maybe not all the things that Salvador Dali turned out were of such great quality, particularly in his latter years. Certainly, don't expect huge quality here. This clock is very much a kitch item dash albeit one that's functional too. It arrives in a bubble wrap bag inside a knot especially robust plain white cardboard box. What you can expect is all-plastic. Acrylic scuffs and scratches easily and there was a small area of the clear plastic front of this clock that was scuffed, presumably in transit. The cover to the dial, incidentally, is raised up like a bubble and not flat to the dial. The clock is battery operated and takes a single AA battery - not supplied. The original melting clocks featured in Dali's painting 'The Persistence of Memory'. If you like that, this clock doesn't so much bring those clocks to mind as the numerals here are Roman, whereas the 'Persistence' clocks feature Arabic numerals and none has a silver-toned case. What mostly this brings to mind is a seaside gift shop. That said, I have a soft spot for seaside gift shops. The clock sits on the edge of a shelf with a pair of silicone protectors to prevent damage to the shelf - which is fairly unlikely as the clock itself is extremely lightweight. It feels stable enough in position. But I'm really not sure about that very punchy price point.
