Proven to sanitize and very convenient
My wife and I have been researching these uv sterilizer wands for weeks, after purchasing our first wand back in June. Only to find out we had been duped. After significant research, I’ve since discovered that 90% of these wands being sold have zero uvc wavelength light and are really nothing more than disco lights.Wanderclean being the exception.I even brought it to a local lab to run an experiment against a few other wands I purchased because I was so curious whether these were legit or if I was wasting my money and getting a false sense of security. Figured it was worth it on a life or death scenario like this. I found this device to be the only one that actually destroyed the bacteria on my iPhone and it had about 3-5 times the power of the other wands tested. Some were far more expensive too.All in all I’ve been very pleased with this product. It’s super easy to operate and the child lock feature is great for keeping it away from our grandkids. I’ll be sharing this with my friends and family as well because there’s nothing better than the peace of mind I get from a product like this.

*Update* Previous Version of This Product Was Not UVC - Have Not Tested New Edition Yet
So I have now conversed with the CEO of Wanderclean for a few months now. They have been very responsive, mature, and reasonable with regard to my previous review. I have since worked with the CEO to determine the root cause for the fault in the previous edition of this product and their team has identified the problem with the manufacturing process that was causing the light to only emit UVA as their diode is dual-band for both UVA and UVC. Wanderclean's CEO has discussed with me, in great detail, the improvements to their production line and quality control to ensure this fault never happens again and it was apparently identified in only a certain batch of the units they previously sold. I am very impressed with the diligence and good faith with which Wanderclean handled my previous review and I am willing to give this new edition of their light another go when I am able.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------So despite the extensive marketing labels and brochures attached to this listing, this light does not produce UV-C light and I have yet to hear back from the company despite trying to contact them multiple times. So I tested this light, as I've tested all my UVC lights that I've bought over the past year, on a Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) plate impregnated with an F254 fluorescent dye that fluoresces green when irradiated with UV-C light (max absorbance @ 254 nm). I've attached a picture of the plate without irradiation inside a plastic bag. I have also attached a picture where I irradiate the plate (partially outside of the bag and partially inside) with this light and on no part of the plate is there any fluorescence from UV-C. Notice that my third picture that I've attached is a UV-C TLC plate that fluoresces green when irradiated by one of my CFL 15 watt UV-C light bulbs even when inside the baggy. For those who aren't familiar with UV-VIS chemistry, the absorbance of light by any material is dependent on the thickness of that material (Beer's Law) so while some UV-C is definitely absorbed by PETE or PS, varying amounts of UV-C light will penetrate a thin layer of it such as that on a baggy. But regardless, this light in question is not UV-C and I've returned it for a full refund.Chris,PhD, Organic Chemistry

Cheapo Deopt
It’s made of chintzy plastic with a night light for the “UV light”. I mean please do people actually buy that this crap works? Oh and if you are actually as stupid as I was to buy it, they will charge you $4.95 to send it back. Great thanks. So don’t make the mistake I made and buy it. Wash you hands and wear a mask. Stay away from crowds. Enough said.

Great product to kill Germs!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Awesome product and the packaging is super high end also. It’s nice to finally find a wand that you can instantly feel the quality of the moment you pick it up.It couldn’t be any easier to use and I like how sleek it is. Fits right in my front pocket.

The perfect portable UV device for sanitizing on the go
I have always been a bit of a germ-a-phobe, and have experimented with several UV devices in the past. Although this one is mid-priced relative to some of the others I have tried, I like this one the best. The design makes it very easy to carry and use. It is a little shorter, slightly thicker and weighs the same as a cell phone, but fits more comfortably in my hand and easily slips into my purse. I use it on surfaces where I know there are likely to be germs, aiming the UV lights 1-2 inches away for as little as 30 seconds, or longer (up to a minute) if I think it needs it. With the sleek black design and small size that allows it to stay mostly hidden in my hand, I can use it somewhat discreetly in the presence of others. I have been taking it with me wherever I go - it’s perfect to quickly use in public places where you are exposed to other people’s germs (like public restrooms)! It’s a great gift idea, especially during these COVID times. I’m ordering another one for my parents.
