These are great - way better than expected - let me explain: When we switched out our carpeted stairs for hardwood a few years ago, our senior dog no longer felt confident going up and down the hardwood stairs. We tried "clear" strips to give him traction and we thought that we would still be able to enjoy the beauty of the hardwood. Not the case - they looked cheap and tacky. But we lived with them for a year and a half, and sadly our dog passed away a couple of months ago. We vowed no more dogs (too heartbreaking) and cleaned up the stairs and enjoyed them without the tacky, milky colored "clear" strips. We made it two months with wood stairs and fell in love with a new puppy and need to try something else on the stairs for traction. Our hardwood stairs are walnut, so we chose the brown colored carpet treads. They were super easy to install, and could be lifted up to reposition to get them lined up. The stick perfectly and haven't lifted. They actually look nice and feel great under our feet, as well as under the puppy's feet. Great traction with the grooves. And one of the nicest features is the "landing mat" - which we used at the very top of the stairs so there is an easy transition onto the hardwoods upstairs. And as a testament to the traction, our cat loves to sharpen his claws on the "landing mat" and it hasn't lifted or moved in any way - as a matter of fact, so far there is no damage to the treads from his sharp claws. The treads clean up nicely with a vacuum (and they even come with a brush for touch ups, if desired). We are 100% thrilled with this product and would recommend it above all other products!

I had the knee surgery recently and going up and down the hardwood polished stairs is a real challenge for me now.I found this product on Amazon and decided to give it a try. It works perfect! The product arrived next day, it was very easy to install. They are soft and provide good traction, now my every step is not as painful and more importantly safe. On a top of the comfort these treads provide, they look very nice and cozy on the stairs.So far very happy with the purchase!

I really like the tread height and the ease of installation. Just need to let them lay flat awhile before installation since they are folded while boxed. The adhesive is ok for temporary positioning, however, double sided tape is recommended for high traffic use. They are great for my purpose indoors.

Very impressive product....easy easy easy to put down, no problems with curling edges, etc., anyone that says no carpet on stairs need to try these. They also look great. It is obvious this company is quality focused and consumer service oriented, they include brush for cleaning and 2 sided tape in the case you do have any difficult spots.1 YEAR LATER....like I just put them down...seriously. Used at a camp and our home....very durable.

I have a twisty staircase in an apartment I don't own. I like that there were more than enough treads and they were easy to measure and cut on the twisted stairs. I still have some left over so if I move to another apartment that doesn't have twists I have extra treads. Also the come off easy with no damage. My son loves that he doesn't slip in his socks anymore. It makes it so much quieter at night if some uses the stairs to get to the bathroom. I used to wake up, not anymore! I'll definitely recommend and prolly buy again.

I got these thinking the self adhesive would work. It’s pretty useless. You will need the tape. And possibly stronger tape if you plan on using the stairs a lot.

My 12 year old lab was slipping while going up the stairs. These have helped a great deal with this problem. He does not have any trouble any more. They have stayed in place and were easily placed. Vacuuming is easy but we have to be careful not to pull it up. Highly recommend for the price.

I am fairly handy, and these sucked to install.They shipped folded in half creating a creese in the middle of each one, combined with having no adhesive whatsoever made them quite difficult to install.I used the included carpet tape which was of poor quality. I doubt these will last a week.
