Well,beautiful personsmile it is fun to order cool things from amazon i,been with you longer than you know, I collect die cast car collection and gotten lots of them from you and now they are hard to find and some are rare now, I got the scalextric race car track from you and it is awesome, im,just wish that the other purchase had of went through it was the F1 SLOT car, it was cancelled but I am still satisfied with the company with all that is going on now and millions of people ordering from you these things happen, thanks for years of great service

Returned product did not work. And they are trying to charge me a restocking fee of $40.

Very disappointing Christmas Day gift as one car does not work! Faulty item with no come back!

We picked one of these up over Christmas for our 10-year-old and we have been using it almost every day since purchase. We had a broken lap counter and I emailed the company directly and within 14 days they had sent us out a replacement as well as an extra replacement piece for one of the cars that we had snapped off the spoiler by accident in a crash. Overall a great company a great track for a starter set for the price and we will be looking to add more track and cars in the future. 10/10.

This was a present for my 8 year olds birthday and he loves it.Sadly though after a week one of the controllers stopped working, I email Scalextric customer services and had a reply within 2 hours and a replacement controller arrived within 2 days

We have been enjoying this as much as I did when I was a kid, and the newer style track is easier and just as robust as the older type from my day. It's worth noting that you will need a set of converter type track pieces if you want to connect to your older pieces. My only criticism is that the car parts are very flimsy. All the small prominent parts had snapped off barring one wing mirror after our 1st (admittedly very lengthy) session playing with this. Given this set is designed to promote collisions, this was quite disappointing, and disheartening for my son who'd just received it as his birthday present. There is a tougher range of cars available from Scalextric. Why not have that type in this set where lots of collisions are inevitable? A tad cynical I feel..

We bought this set to have extra cars and tracks, especially for the lap counter. To my surprise it also includes 2 track lifters so you can layout a "bridge".Cars work wonderful. They are the one who works best amongst our collection at the moment.With what I know now, I think I would have bought this set to begins with and I would have been way more satisfied this way.I heartily recommend this set either as a beginner first set or simply to extend what one already has.UPDATE: I'm removing a star down to 4 out of 5 for the fact that the provided staight tracks - the one with the power base and the other with the lap counter - are NOT standard in length!Basically I came to understand that there are 2 types of commonly used straight tracks: C8205 with 35cm and C8207 with half the length at 17.5cm. This is great because these 2 types of track can easily play together and fit everywhere.But the provided 2 straight tracks here are known as C8205x and are 58.4cm of length. To make it play square with the standard length, you have to pair 1 x C8205 with 3 x C8236 (see second picture). There must be something I don't understing since doing so basically renders a C8205 non-standard and I can't figure the maths to make the C8205x standard in lenght instead.Meh.
