Close your eyes. Think “jeans.” Now open. They were 501s®, right? They’re literally the blueprint for every pair of jeans in existence—burned into the world’s collective cortex ever since Levi Strauss (the man himself!) invented them in 1873. To this day they they’ve never gone out of style. And they never will.

Very thick & super cute
I am 5'4 and 150lbs. I have very thick lower body and an average midsection. My body is proportional. I typically wear a size 6 regular for American Eagle which is where I get most of my jeans these days as I am nearing my 30s and comfort is key #jeggingsrule. Cute is only a bonus now, comfort is first. I was going to order the 28 BUT the 29 was nearly $30 cheaper. So I went with that instead, and I'm glad I did because they fit perfectly. I feel like with Levis it is always a hit or miss with me. That is why it is easiest to stick with one brand because you already know how they will fit. I am very happy I won't be returning these and hopefully, this will help someone else determine the size for them!

Misrepresented in description as 30" length! BOOOOO
Item description says the inseam on these 501 skinny denims is 30". This is a misrepresentation and they send me a pair of jean with a 28 inch inseam. Total waste of time as I am 5'9". In Levis denim, a 28" inseam is a short length, 30" is medium length and a 32 is long. I bought these since the description said 30" which is a medium inseam and is the absolute shortest I can go. Baffling how you can sell denim and say they are a different length than what you send.

Size 6's apparently defective.
First I ordered size 27 (4). They fit fine, but a tad snug, so I ordered a size 28 (6) to compare. The size 6 arrived with no "Levis" on the back red tag, just the trademark R. I sent these back figuring it was a manufacturing error, and ordered a replacement size 6. These too had nothing but the R on the red tag. Apparently all size 6 are defective. I am so upset and frustrated by this that I'm considering sending the 4 back as well and taking my business elsewhere. Without "Levis" on the tag, they look like a knockoff. They cost too much to be ok with this. See my photos.

High Waisted jeans are back and cool!
As an 80s girl I lived in the Levis 501 jeans. Hated the low rise jean craze of the past decade so I am really excited that the high wasted “mom jeans” are back in and easier to find. Love the Levis heavy 501 material. These are a pleasant skinny jean take of the 501 style. I ordered the 26 waist 28 length and they fit like a glove not too tight not too loose. Make my 50 year old but look great. The bottoms taper to right at the ankle so will look cute with tennis shoes, ankle boots, and can wear with tall boots. No more showing undies and plumber crack and constantly pulling the jeans up.

thick old school denim
I really like these jeans! At first, I was taken aback at just how 'old school' they are. I'd been looking for a pair of non-stretch, denim jeans like I remember from the days before spandex was in everything. However, I'd forgotten how stiff denim jeans like these are and at first I wasn't sure I liked them. Spandex may be annoying but it is also comfortable and I guess I've gotten used to the softness and stretch. That being said, I decided to give these a try and I really do feel good wearing these. Although they don't stretch, they do loosen up. I got a 10, but I could wear an 8 (5'6", 128 pounds). The nice thing about heavy weight denim like this is that when it loosens up, it still looks just fine; it doesn't look silly and fall down around your ankles like stretched out spandex jeans. My only worry is that when I put on my other jeans I'm more aware of the spandex than ever haha. I could get hooked on these!

Great jeans but a little short length-wise
I grew up with parents who were always wearing 501s and I even remember the time when you could sell your worn out used pairs with tears and holes overseas for big $ in the early 90s. These are so familiar to me and I was excited to see they’re being sold in a “skinny” style now too, so I couldn’t resist buying a pair!I got the 28” waist and they fit perfectly. They’re advertised as 30” inseam though and they’re actually 28” inseam (length). I don’t mind because I’m pretty short but they should be accurate in the listing. These are really comfortable, I like where they sit on my waist and they feel sturdy too. Not the flimsy spandex style skinny jeans that start drooping throughout the day. Can’t wait to get more colors!

AVOID
They literally came to me with a button that had pulled out of the jeans. Are you serious? There were no tags on the jeans either. So surely someone brought them, wore them, the button broke off and they returned them. And then they were sent to me.

Like the heavier fabric 99% cotton denim provides
I’m 144 Lbs, 5’ 3”, purchased waist 31”, fit just like a size 12... 12’s are a little big on me & that’s exactly how they fit. This fit/ style has a short inseam of ~28” which I did not expect but forgot to ck Levi’s website 1st, but ok as I’m short; they’re just past my ankles...I already knew Levi’s womens jeans run large nowadays (when going by waist) from a recent purchase & ordered accordingly and also took into consideration the fabric... these are 99% cotton & 1% elastin. FYI, 1% adds more stretch than one might think but much less compared to almost all other Levi’s womens jeans. I like a heavier (cotton denim) fabric; I worked for Levi’s ‘92 - 2002, and knew 501’s would probably be heaviest/ most cotton, best bet. I prefer as they hold in my abdomen & hips which the stretchy jeans do not. 100% cotton 501’s available for $30+ more. TAKE NOTE COLOR/FINISH “TANGO TALKS”, NO HEM ON PANT LEG! Didn’t know that either but ok with it. Sorry if I confused anyone!

Great classic jean, fits a slightly curvy figure
Love these jeans. They're slim but have some room in the butt/thigh area for the those of us with "womanly" figures. I'm a size 2 (26) but quite curvy in the lower body and found these perfect. Lie tailor made for me!I am 5'4 and found the 28 inseam just right. Love the higher waist but not quite the mom jeans height that all the teens are wearing these days (ironically I'm a mom lol). I only wish they weren't the skinny version because I like to be able to get jeans off my ankles easily. But other than that this is the perfect Jean. Also the denim is thick and not stretchy. These are classic jeans not jeggings.

Not premium quality
I own the same model from aritzia in the color called "jive ship" and they look and feel really fabulous.I purchased these in the color "jive tide" from amazon, they were the same price but have a cardboard patch rather than leather and look cheaply made. I feel like these are the quality you would get at the outlet store so you shouldn't pay 120$ for them. Will be returning them.

Quality isn't the same.
I was hopeful for these but they didn't fit very well and noticed a couple things. Another review mentioned that the leather tag on the back felt like cardboard. I second this, it didn't feel like real leather, that's for sure. Also, the inseam is definitely 28, not 30 as advertised. I returned both pairs that I ordered and found a pair in store that felt much better on. Feeling the real deal in comparison to these really sealed the deal for me. I rarely write bad reviews, but here we are.
