When a product doesn't work, I try to contact the manufacturer/shipper first, but since I haven't heard from them on this product, I have to go ahead and say that the mirror has not worked as expected. Within about a week, the light surrounding the mirror dropped about 50% in intensity, and today the light has gone out completely. It could just be this is a dud. It happens. I'm just giving a heads up, because there might just be more than one dud.

Great mirror! The reflection is very clear and it has a wide 6" viewing surface so you can see your whole face. I can also sit back several inches to see my entire face before the magnification distortion. It's lightweight, so will be good for traveling, and the LED light is bright with a nice soft touch on/off button in front so you can see it easily. The suction cup provided is strong but it is short. I needed a taller stand for tabletops or to reach over sinks and counters, so I bought the "Fancii Chrome Gooseneck Attachment with Locking Suction Cup" from Amazon and swapped out the shorter suction cup...it was a perfect fit! Added bonus, the mirror comes with a nice carrying pouch. It's neoprene with a drawstring handle, it should provide some padding for travel which is great bc I wanted the mirror specifically for traveling. The carrying pouch even has a zippered pocket to carry extra batteries or small items which is a nice touch. Lastly I appreciate that the battery plate slides off so you don't need a tiny screwdriver to replace batteries. Great price for great product!

I purchased this for traveling as the one I was using always had to be balanced somewhere and hopefully where there was light. I ended up purchasing the 7X as well. I prefer the 5X for putting on makeup as I can see closely and yet see my face. I love the packaging - it comes with a case that has a pocket for the batteries (good for traveling so they don't have to stay in and have the light on due to pressure on the on button). The suction works great - amazing product. I also like the compact way it folds for traveling. I would recommend it. The 7X is good for very detailed work if you are needing to tweeze an eyebrow or ? I keep the 7X in my bathroom at home and travel with the 5X. I am 76 years old and have good vision but need a mirror for putting on makeup with some magnification.

I am pleased with the magnification of the mirror. It’s great and I have no problem with not being able to see what I’m doing. It does adhere to mirrors with no problems. It actually adheres so tightly that I have to be careful when removing it from the mirror not to pull the mirror off the wall. It does not adhere to my counter as well, but my counter is textured. It also was not able to adhere to my wall but I will try again and this time wet the suction cup first. I would not consider this a travel size mirror. I consider it a bit bulky to be a travel sized mirror. I like the cloth bag it came in, I keep it stored in that bag to protect the mirror. Overall I am very pleased with this mirror, it would of been a bonus if a smaller travel size was included as an option.

I use this product daily and honestly, I really do like it. The suction cup is pretty strong and I have had no issues with it becoming loose or falling off (so you know, I do have it on another mirror). The magnification is perfect for me and the light is bright and reflects natural light pretty well. HOWEVER, there is a glaring issue with this mirror. Like I said earlier, I do really like this mirror, BUT.... the battery life is atrocious. For 15 mins of daily use, the light becomes very noticeably dim after ONE WEEK. I bought this Jun 24, it is Jul 16 and I have had to replace the battery THREE TIMES. So that's once per week. Luckily I do use rechargable energizer batteries, so it is not that big of a deal, but it's an inconvenience. And by the way, on one of the instances I replaced the batteries, I used a standard set just to test if my batteries were faulty, and sure enough within a week or so of the 15 min daily use, it was dim just as fast as the rechargeable batteries. So it definitely is the mirror. I have been reading other reviews and people are saying it does last a while, so maybe I got a faulty unit.

As a lady of a certain age, I have noticed that my eyesight has been in decline (read: this old bat is going blind! HA). It has been increasingly difficult to put on make up and to shape the eyebrows so I finally bit the bullet and looked for a good mirror. I found this one and after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a whirl. First, let me say that I ordered the 5x (they sell 5x and 7x magnification models). The mirror arrived very quickly and was packaged well. It takes 3 AA batteries and the on/off button is very sensitive so a tiny tap will do. I really like this mirror! What a huge difference. I can see the good, the bad, and the ugly again! Seriously, things like eyeliner and brows are so much easier now. The suction cup base is awesome, too. I'm traveling soon and will bring this with me. It'll fit in my carry on with no problem. I am so glad I found this mirror and won't hesitate to get another one when the time comes.

Nice I used it as soon as I unpacked it and the lighting is perfect. I bought this for my wife but I can see that I will also be using it as well. She walked in from work, came to the upstairs bathroom where I placed it on the mirror and she saw me doing my nose hairs and laughed. I said to her that it was for her but now I can see why women love this mirror. I can now see the details of my grooming flaws. The plus is that it is dimmable my wife loved that. I think most customers do not realize that it is dimmable so brightness isn't and issue.For those who are complaining about the suction. Suctions don't last too long no matter where you put them. So it best not to put something like this up for more than a day or two. Remove it and suction it back on every day or every other day depending on where you place it. I will get the 7X next may as well have both.For now I recomend6/28/16Ok had it for a few months and I have to say this about the suction. Ever since I suctioned on the bathroom mirror it has not moved. The suction is great. Still does a great job in the lighting area.

Bought this as a gift and it was very well received. It's actually shocking how well the lighting and the magnification works. I daren't look in it myself, but the girlfriend tells me that it's made her morning routine much MUCH easier. The suction pad works well in our bathroom as well as her wooden topped dressing table which is a pleasant surprise.Delivery was super swift and packaged very well. Arrived in perfect condition to gift to someone.

Got it as a wee surprise for the wife, when she seen the box she wasnt impressed, said it seemed small.Later that evening I passed her in the dressing room , said "its amazing" can see and pluck the tiniest hairs I didnt even know were there.Happy wife = happy life..

I was initially cautious because there was no real way of assessing how bright the light is. However, it had good reviews, so thought I'd try it.I couldn't be happier. The suction pad is very strong and easy to apply/reapply. The mirror is a good quality and does exactly what it says on the box. And the light is perfectly bright.

I ordered 5x although I think 2x will be much better but my sister loves it for doing her makeup and the light makes it very effective she can see much more clearly. because she wears glasses she has to take them off to wear her makeup and has found with the zoomed mirror it makes things so much easier.

Good quality mirror, excellent light and magnification, brilliant presentation (came in its own pouch with a cute pocket, presumably for batteries) and so would be a great present. Giving four stars because the mirror is a bit unstable at the base. I have not tried attaching the mirror to the wall.
