Anyone who puts up lights for the holidays knows how much of a pain in the "you know what" it is the string up said holiday lights. I grew up with a family tradition of putting up a very large light display for the holidays and now that I have my own house I decided to continue the tradition in my family in putting up a very large light display for the holidays. Back when I was a child my parents would use cup hooks, nails, screws, and even staples to hang up holiday lights on to the house. The issue there is that because all those fasteners I had mentioned eventually corrode and rust away and then having to now replace them with new said types of fasteners, it just adds to the frustration on getting Holiday lights strung up. Never mind the possibilities of said fasteners damaging the wiring which causes all kinds of potential hazards.But look out, here are a set of clips that you could use on your holiday lights and not have to worry about them corroding away or possibly damaging your wiring for the holiday lights. If you are like me who puts up thousands of lights up each year for the holidays, you definitely "need these clips"!Now the review.Upon opening up the package, these clips look very small and they look like they may not even do the trick. But don't let the size fool you because these clips are definitely well made, sturdy and for the most part relatively easy to use and install. The best thing is that they are reusable and at the end of the season you can take them down and put them back in the storage bag and use them for the following year. This is my second year using these clips and I am beyond satisfied on how they hold up and how well they hold my holiday lights. The previous set of clips I had kept on popping out specially during a windy day or a moderate rain storm, but last year I did not want have to go back on to the ladder to reattach my lights to the eaves of my house. All you have to do is clip them on the roof shingles on the edge of the roof and then clip in the wire leads of the lights onto them, whallah the lights are strung up.If there is any downside to this particular style of clips, is that you do have to lift the roofing shingles just a little bit in order for you to slide the clip onto the shingles. The other thing is that these clips will only work on the asphalt roofing shingles. This will not work on a barrel roof or a tile roof. They may work on a tin roof, but I never tried it on that style of roofThe Recap.The bottom line is, these clips absolutely make it a lot easier to string up holiday lights on to your house. Give them a try and I'm pretty sure you're going to be satisfied.

I should have read the measurements closer because these clips are VERY small. I do think that advertising them for gutters is not realistic. There would be absolutely no way these could fit on any gutters in any home where I live (PNW), however, for clipping onto shingles of other parts of the roof; yes these worked well and did the job. Gutters are simply too thick for these particular clips.

We have been struggling for years with putting our lights on the house during Christmas! Between the shingles and the gutters, I have fought with staple guns and never can keep the staples secure or I staple right through the wire by accident...I wanted something simple and easy for both gutters and shingles and these hand down worked perfect!!! We had the lights on the house within an hour and everything is straight and secure! No staple guns, no fighting with areas sagging, just worked perfectly!!!!Omg, I would give more stars if I could!

Light clips worked beautifully! Clipped to the soffit trim, as our covered gutters weren’t compatible. Now it’s under the eves and went so quick and painlessly to hang out outside Holiday lights!!

These things are affordable and well built but do not fit any typical gutter I have found. They can fit to a thin piece of metal or maybe a shingle, but not a typical gutter that has a lip at all. So be warry of that.

Worked perfect for my gutters and shingles to hang LED icicle lights. No issues whatsoever, and much better than previous clips I’d purchased a couple years back.

I was going to send it back because they are so small but it turns out they work fabulous great product!!!

Loved how sturdy these clips felt installing along eaves and under shingles.Will see in spring how they weathered the Canadian Winter though.Simple concept that held up well over the Christmas Season.Would recommend.

Don't buy it's not compatible with Australia gutter. Had to return.
