Tandy LeatherDeluxe Trifold Wallet Kit 44012-00

I was tired of buying wallets that were only partially made of leather or faux leather that fell apart every couple of months. A good leather wallet can be pricy, so I decided to make my own, as I'm pretty good at DYI projects. I purchased some brown water based leather dye, because the leather comes in a natural color. The kit comes with needles, waxed thread, inside liner with slots for credit cards cash and instructions. I found "saddle stitching" videos on YouTube for further instruction. It only took about an 1.5 hours to make (including dyeing) with some help from my wife to help hold while stitching. It was also fun. It's been a few months so far and it still looks new. I'm planning on making a leather case now. I purchased leather stitching punches from Amazon for additional leather projects, because this one turned out so well.

I’m about a year and a half into leather working and ordered this kit to use as an outline for making more leather wallets. Everything is already cut, dyed and assembled for you. The only thing is you have the option to tool the outside and lace it on top of the pre made wallet. This is not a DIY so if that’s what your looking for look elsewhere.

I thought my grandson would enjoy working in leather. He lost interest in the time to order and receiving it. Product is wonderful . ..

So far so good was happy with the quality. Prices are a little high but quality seems worth it time will tell
