I bought this to identify my child at large swim meets. Is not strong enough magnification. Has a weird smell when you hold up to your eye. The odor will not wipe away.

This item is NOT waterproof. The design of the lens allows water in. Also this is not 16x more like 2x. At this price it would OK toy for your kid. The unit I got had a nasty smell to it, so I have had to set it outside to air it out.

This monocular is great for a novice birdwatcher, like myself.

Very clear. Very powerful.

Works great. Takes a bit to get it to focus, but that could just be me.
