Absorbs the bumps when mowing an imperfect lawn (as most lawns are!)
I added the Trac Seat to my Zero Turn mower. The improvement in the ride is exactly what I was hoping for. The sturdy spring suspension in the unit absorbs the bumps in an imperfect lawn, allowing you to mow faster, and in comfort. I am very happy with my purchase!Installation instructions are general, but sufficient. I needed to add 3/4 inch spacers to raise my seat above the top of the unit to accommodate the safety switch under my seat. (It is important to reconnect the safety switch wires before tightening down the seat to the suspension unit.)The suspension tension springs adjust to your preference of cushioning with the front mounted turn handle. The handle pulls out to make adjustments, and pushes back in (out of the way) when completed. Adjustment is made by "feel", as there is no numerical scale to judge the amount of suspension tension being applied. All in all, it is a great item, and highly recommended.

Cub cadet ultima ZT1 50”
Installed this on my cub cadet that didn’t have a sliding seat. Worked well, but you need to install spacers for top and bottom of suspension assembly and you will need to extend the original seat switch wires in order to plug it back into the seat. It’s easy to adjust and definitely make for a smoother ride.

Great product but spacers needed
Pretty easy to assemble. I have a skag liberty z. Problem was that I needed 3/4” spacers for the suspension to work and I needed to extend the safety switch wiring. Other than that it works great.

Back saver.
Bought this and installed on a Grass Hopper zero turn mower.Main thing to know about this unit, in my case anyway, is its not specifically designed to fit on a lot of mowers so some custom fitting might be what you're in store for. That said there are plenty of YouTube videos etc that can get you headed in the right direction. I was able to get mine installed with some longer bolts and four spacers I cut from some scrap iron pipe.As far as using it the mower was absolutely destroying my back and I can see where this is going to be a Gods-send to me.My doctor should be making a lot less off me now.Even in places that I considered to be smooth when I mowed them before now you can feel the suspension system at work smoothing out the bumps you hadn't realized were even there before and on the real bumpy bits you can really feel those springs going to work.I've only mowed a few times since installing so I don't feel I have found the optimum setting for it yet but even without that I'm loving it and so is my back.It is adjustable for firmness and will probably take a few uses till I find that sweet spot.I am mowing a bit over two acres of what used to be horse pasture land so in places it can be quite rough,Really worth the money even after one use. I wish I had found this thing years ago.

Grasshopper Mower owners you need to pass on this suspension kit.
Grasshopper Mower owners. Unless you are willing to fabricate an adapter plate and a pan with rails you need to pass on this suspension kit.I have both the old style seat/pan and the new style seat/pan. After purchasing this suspension kit I found that the suspension kit top and bottom plates did not line up with the holes on either seat/pan. I contacted Grasshopper to inquire if they might sale an adapter kit/pan for this suspension kit to make it work with either of my seats.Grasshopper’s reply “ Grasshopper actually used that style suspension seat about 15 years ago for your 900 series for the old suspension seat pan and hardware. None of the parts relating to the suspension seat assy are available. The issue was, that over time the springs became very weak and the seat would just bottom out. That is where the Grammer seat came into play as the bladder system was much more reliable and cushioned better”.The new Grasshopper style seat/pan came out in 2005. The spring style suspension kits were never designed to work on the newer style seats/pan.I was able to get some prices/cost of the additional parts needed to make the old style seat/pan work with Trac Seats suspension kit if theirs were exactly the same as the one Grasshopper used 15 years ago. The extra cost of the parts with the cost of Trac Seats suspension kit exceeded the price of just using the newer air ride suspension technology.I spoke with Gatlan who is one of the owners of Trac Seats by phone and email. Gatlan did discount my Restocking Fee Refund Deduction to: ($18.50). My cost for shipping the was $36.25. A turn around cost to me of about $54.25.

Outstanding Service, Excellent Product
This seat suspension system works as advertised and is simple and fast to install. Installed on a Cub Cadet ZT1 50. Installation, including the required lengthening splices of the seat safety switch, took less than two hours. I recommend using two inch bolts and 1 inch spacers in lieu of the 3/4 inch spacers recommended. It makes the installation really easy.

For Country Clipper
I have a 2023 Country Clipper XLT C310. This seat suspension kit fit almost perfectly. I did have to drill two holes in the top plate to bolt the seat on. No drilling to the mower itself was requited. It took about 30 minutes to complete the installation. Though it is heavier, the seat still folds forward as before. The slide rails are also still functional, but they do seem to be more difficult to move. I did have to reroot the wire for the seat safety switch a bit. And it must be plugged in before you put the back bolts in. All in all, I was pleased with how simple the installation went. The ride is considerably better. I weigh about 160 pounds and needed to adjust the tension dial quite a few turns softer to achieve the best ride.
