Good quality product
I buy several supplements from Jarrow Formulas and have for years. I trust their products and brand. So, when I saw the chance to try out a new product that I had heard about and was curious about, I took it.I personally have decided to try out propolis for inflammation that is the result of an old injury. Any other positive side effects are just an after thought to me since I never get sick.I've taken this a few times a week. Mostly 2-3 times a week, so I can't attest to its effectiveness just yet. Do I feel less inflammation in my body? Yes, I think so, but I can't directly pinpoint it to this, or other factors. I do however, plan to keep taking it because I do want to see if it helps with inflammation reduction. The taste is terrible and I won't lie about that. It's super bitter. I personally mix it with about 6 ounces of water to dilute the flavor and even then it's bitter. The picture is of the propolis mixed in with some water, as you can see, the water becomes a bit chalky in color. If I take it one sip at a time, it's not terrible. But if I gulp it all down the bitterness is almost enough to make me want to gag. However, I'm kind of used to it because in the past I took valerian root drops to help with sleep and they tasted just as bitter as this. It's tolerable. Perhaps the taste could be disguised by a strongly flavored drink such as orange juice. The propolis itself is dark in flavor and when the dropper is empty you can see what looks like small sugar crystals and some darker bigger material that I have no idea what exactly it is, but I can assume is just part of the propolis.

Mix it in Water or Juice
Woah! This definitely packs a very big punch, when it comes to flavor. I am no stranger to be products like this but this is definitely among the strongest propolis I have ever had. It is a little overwhelming but it is highly concentrated and affective. As you can see in my pictures, it is a deep dark amber color. The taste is somewhat comparable to royal jelly, only more bitter and pungent. It has some sweetness to it but I would recommend adding this to your coffee, juice, smoothies or water to help dilute it and not make it so strong tasting. That being said, I feel that this is a very trustworthy brand and judging by the look and taste of this, it is a very high quality solution. I have used this brand's products for years and have always been very satisfied and this one is no different.I myself take this, along with my children and my husband. With cold flu and a possible 2nd wave of the lovely health issues that have been going on this year approaching, I am trying to build-up our immune systems. Propolis is touted as being antimicrobial and great for building up the immune system.A serving size is one dropper full and this bottle contains approximately 30 servings so you get about a months supply with this. Each serving contains 500 mg of bee propolis extract.

Bitter Sweet Honey
How can you tell if this is working? Not really sure about that other than that I seem to be staying healthy. I know this stuff is good for me and it seems to do what they claim. Can't dispute it.The taste is pretty nasty. It tastes like bitter honey. Personally, I don't like dropping it in a liquid because these sorts of things have a tendency to stick to the walls of the glass or cup. That just defeats the purpose. I'm not one to add sweeteners to my beverages so I certainly don't want to add it to my tea, coffee or juice. So, I just bite the bullet and drop it in under my tongue. Yuck. But the taste only lasts for a few minutes and then it's gone. I can deal with that. It's sure better than getting sick. The taste goes away rather quickly if you follow it up with some sort of beverage that has a stronger taste that quickly masks or changes the flavor.
