I have two of these collars, one for a standard schnauzer and another for a shih-tzu. What's great about these collars is that they can be easily adjusted after grooming when the dog's coat is thinner. Instead of estimating a size based on fixed eye-holes, this collar can be adjusted to fit the dog's neck anyway you like. You just press the metal prong throught he fabric at whatever juncture best fits the dog's neck. And of course the quality and design are handsome and top-notch as is customary with Mendota products. These collars have been in rain, snow, the beach, rough play with other dogs and are still going strong years later.

Love it for my growing puppy! You can adjust it to any size along the fabric. The one inch thickness of the collar is excellent since he’s growing to be a medium/large dog.

This is a beautiful collar and it's well made. We got the Hunter Green M 18" for our Boston Terrier. For his neck size, the length is too short because the end doesn't tuck into the brass loop. Also, the width may be a little too big for our little guy. I think we'll keep it for now, but won't replace it with this size. As other reviewers have written, I think this width would better suit a bigger dog, but not with an 18" length. I hope that Mendota comes out with a slightly longer and thinner width model for Boston Terriers and the like. Shipping was fast.

This collar is great. Stylish and easy to tighten. I really like that it can be adjusted to whatever length necessary. There are no worries about adjustments lining up with pre existing holes. Great buy and wish I would of bought this a long time ago.

A mi perro le duran muy poco los collares pero este tiene muy buenos materiales y ya lleva casi un año con el (un récord) y es muy bonito y elegante.Lo único que para mi perro era muy largo pero no quería que fuera muy delgado pero ese es asunto mio y es muy fácil "acortarlo"
