A new customer for life!!
This is the first time I have ever tried Shackleton coffee, and I have to say my husband and I were totally impressed! We usually have to add sweetener or creamer to drink the "other kinds" of coffee due to the bitterness, but this coffee is perfect just black! This is a nice light roast, and and I like the fact that it is slow roasted, to preserve the flavor of the coffee. As others have stated it is delivered very quickly with a "date of roast" sticker on the the silver lined, resealable bag, which says it isnt even roasted until you order it!! Who could ask for more?? It is also a fair trade coffee, which means they provide fair wages and jobs for those that grow their coffee. It is also organic which makes it taste better also! It has a very low acidic value so I can drink it all day long! I love this coffee, and I just now ordered yet another bag, as we are almost out already!! I did recieve this product for free for my unbiased review, and the opinions are completely my own

Good mild coffee!
I enjoyed this coffee very much. I normally drink medium to dark roast (I prefer Colombian) so it was a bit more mild than I usually drink. I ground the coffee beans and immediately used my French press. The bag sits up on the counter and I really like the fact that the bag is re-sealable. Those are fantastic features (especially since I had a bag fall over last weekend and coffee beans went everywhere!). The coffee has a very fresh, mild flavor that I enjoyed very much. There was no bitterness while drinking it but it still had a lot of flavor. You could absolutely enjoy this coffee black or with any creamer/sugar if you prefer. If you like coffee that has a mellow flavor, this will be a wonderful fit for you!Pros:Re-sealable bagBag stands on its ownFresh mild flavorNo bitternessCons:NoneI received this product for free in exchange for my honest feedback.

Very smooth and easily drinkable
This coffee smells amazing! I could smell it as soon as I opened my mailbox. It is extremely freshly roasted. My roast date on the package was January 6th! Amazing. This is a lighter blend coffee and roast. I ground the beans and made a french press with the coffee. It had a good presence of natural oils. The smell of the coffee is actually stronger than the taste. It is a very easily drinkable morning coffee. I drink my coffee black and prefer a more robust coffee but this was a nice change. It is very smooth and doesn't have the high acidic taste that most light roasts have. Looking forward to trying more coffee from this roaster. Hopefully a darker roast!I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

Great Light-Medium Roast Organic Coffee
This is my second bag of Shackleton Coffee (the first was their Guatemalan). Shackleton Coffee is a small batch roaster creating organic coffee for a healthy lifestyle. Shackleton purportedly believes that roasting coffee is an art form, and it really shows in their coffee. This is a light-medium roast. My bag actually says "roasted on January 3." It is fair trade certified ( a designation developed to help consumers support products that come from farms certified to provide fair wages and safe working conditions). I don't think I have ever had such fresh coffee. The bag is vacuum packed and is resealable. This Nicaraguan Coffee is grown in the region of San Juan del Rio Cocohas. It has very subtle chocolate, caramel, and nutty notes to a medium body. This is a wonderful company and I am really enjoying this coffee. It is highly recommended.I received this coffee for free in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
