This is plywood which is tougher to cut than balsa. It is strong and sturdy but not as workable as balsa.

Very poor quality"balsa". Not even sure it is balsa wood. Tried for over a week to return this rubbish but all amazon drop off points where you don't have to print a label are down and as I don't have a printer myself it's impossible to return it. Its cost me more in fuel trying all the local drops than the item. Very very unhappy customer and its now in the bin. Total waste of money. Also very angry with Amazon at being unable to return it. If I could have left zero stars I would !!!

Tough laminated 3 ply.. Hard to cut but was usable for my project, solid Balsa would have been better. A tad disappointed hence only 3 stars.

This is absolutely not balsa wood, despite what the photos, description and packaging say. It's super thin ply wood, very hard, not cut/carvable or soft like balsa should be. You can clearly see the sandwiched layers in the photo I provided

I ordered it, and It was far harder than it should be. I could barely cut it with my knife.

Made in China. Not obvious before I bought. Amazon / sellers should make it clear so we can make an informed choice.

I was lead to believe it is solid wood but this is clearly plywood

Good quality. Easy to cut.
