10 Sets Magnetic Snap 13mm 15mm 18mm 20mm Sew in PVC Hidden Purse Closure Fastener

I cheaped out and tried buying the smaller size magnets and everything I went to make with them the magnets weren’t strong enough. I made a flap wallet and a flap purse and was disgusted after all that work they wouldn’t work. The quality of the magnets and vinyl is good I blame myself for getting the wrong size.

like another reviewer said, the 13mm magnets are not strong enough to be sewn - an extra layer of fabric (super-thin in my case) made them not work well.Also, I would not use these again in garments/objects that will be washed. I had to remove one within a year due to rust. Fortunately I had not covered it with fabric and was able to see the rust.

The media could not be loaded.  I used these in the lining of a leather jacket to hold on a leather patch. They work pretty well. Biggest complaint is that there is a large variation in “pull” between different magnets in the set. Some hold very well while others are pretty weak.

I never write reviews but I was so happy with these magnets!! They're like, $4.99 a pair at JoAnn which is absolutely ridiculous. The magnets come in a plastic casing that is all ready to sew. They are quite strong and easily hold together through two layers of medium weight fabric. They would not look good in a really light-weight fabric unless you had some kind of extra stabilization because they do have some weight to them. Also, they arrived within about two weeks of ordering them. Worked splendidly. 10/10 would recommend.

In making roman shades for our grandson's nursery, I didn't want to use strings for fear of potential harm to him. So I decided to use magnets. And these are plenty strong! In terms of design, it was hard to get the individual magnets to line up with their "partner" to hold the lower half of the curtain up but when that problem was solved, the magnets work perfectly! In fact, as I was sewing the shades, it was a challenge keeping them from adhering to the throat plate on my sewing machine, and, as I hung them up, they "found" the metal on the step stool and stuck to that! If I wasn't so pleased with how well they worked, I'd have been really annoyed!

My biggest wish was to have installation options included with these fabulous magnets. They are wonderfully strong and seem to be working fine for my client’s project. I wasn’t sure if the magnets should come out of the plastic and be attached in some other way, but I was able to sew the plastic into place. Maybe the magnet should have come out of the plastic and been covered by material. I was just not sure.

Great magnets to use for purse closures. Although shipped from China, they arrived within 12 days of ordering. Would definitely order these again as the quality is perfect! The magnets are secured in a PVC square that allows me to sew these directly on fabric by machine (unlike a domestic brand).

I bought these to sew into a fleece cape for my daughter and they ended up not having a very strong pull when backed with fabric. Another thing is they don't come with instructions so be wary that the little plus and minus polar markings are lighty stamped into one of the corners of the plastic. Check and double check before you sew them down.
