One of rocks most iconic figures is profiled like never before in Slash: Raised on the Sunset Strip, a revealing and insightful documentary presented by DirecTV and Guitar Center. Combining new and archival footage with personal anecdotes from the legendary musician himself, as well as from many of his influences and colleagues, the film pains an intimate portrait of a hard rock hero s past, present and... future.

Pretty crappy documentary.
I love Slash...but was quite disappointed with this documentary. It was just all over the place. No chronological order of events. Plus, they only talked about his time with gun n Rose's for like 5 minutes! Everything was about his post gnr bands. Hopefully, there are some better Slash docs out there!!

See both Sunset Strip videos!
Excellent video of the 1980s Sunset Strip with luminaries such as Slash and other other personnel from bands such as Motley Crue etc. There is also another Sunset Strip DVD that gets much more historical in terms of music styles, deaths of forgotten celebrities at that famous hotel close to Beverly Hills (up in the hill etc.;sorry can't remember the Hotel's name)

Decent dvd for slash fans just wish there was a bit more performance footage, mostly interviews. You need a multiregion dvd player to watch.

absolutly no use to see or buy this if you know about Slash
I bought this because it was announced as a special documentary through directv. It is NOT! I read the books (Canter, Slash) and I've seen all the official documentaries. In case you expect anything new, you'll be disappointed. There is nearly no new music and not any one new comment on Slash. No use to see it if you are familiar with Shlashs history.
