I love this fleece. It fits all of my dogs really well. It's light enough that my cold-natured dogs can comfortably wear it in the house and not get too warm. I have 3 different size dogs I purchased this product for, and here was my experience with sizing:All of my dogs are fit and in good weight, which should be taken into account if you are choosing a size compared to my pups.I have three terriers, the largest is 20lbs, the smaller ones are 13lbs and 10lbs.The 20lb dog required a size XL.I originally purchased the same size for the 10lb and 13lb terriers, but the M on the 13lb terrier was like a muscle shirt, way too tight.The 13lb dog required a size L.The 10lb dog required a size M.I hope these pictures for size comparisons help :)

I have a small puppy who weighs less than 20 lbs and I got him this cute fleece for the cold weather.After few days of use, the clip broke completely when my puppy pulled the leash, and then he ran away. Luckily I ran fast and was able to stop him, but this product is poorly built, and could easily result in losing my four legged friend.I guess that’s what you get for a $10 item. Beware.

Medium is the perfect fit for our 8lb chihuahua! We always have issues with his clothes and he's always cold so it's important we find clothes he can wear all the time. Also ordered this in a large and my dog wears it over his other clothes kind of like a fleece jacket. Definitely recommend!!

After carefully measuring my dog, I bought according to the chest measurement in the chart shown in the photos. I ended up with a large, and my dog is drowning in it. It’s so baggy that it looks like she’s wearing one of those Snuggies (As Seen on TV!). The tag on the item itself lists the sizing by weight instead (see photo). According to the tag, my dog is between a small and a medium. Buyer beware.On the upside, the quality of my useless purchase seems good, and my dog seems to like the concept.

Originally ordered medium for my jack russell, too small. He's short and chesty. I ordered large, it fit length... but it was little tight around his chest. (he's only 10lbs) I put it on my miniature pincscher (7lbs, petite) and it actually fits her perfectly! Let me start with the positives: lightweight yet warm, pup seems comfy in it, love the leash attachment on the back so I dont have to fight with harnessing him around a sweater, and he looks adorable in it :-)Now the negatives, which have nothing to do with the fleece itself: SIZING! The size chart on the Amazon listing has absolutely NOTHING to do with this fleece. The size chart on the tag goes by weight but you can't even go by that either! According to the tag on the fleece, which is by weight and not measurements, a small would be the size for up to an 8 lb dog. I ordered the small for my chihuahua, his usual size, and it's definitely a tight fit. It fits him like a muscle shirt. I plan on ordering the medium for him, which is so weird because he usually swims in a medium in anything else I've ever tried on him.Aside from the sizing issue, I have absolutely no complaints about this fleece! I may keep this one and gift it to my friend that has a smaller 5 lb chihuahua. Hope this review helps save someone the trouble of not knowing what size to get.

Updated October 2016: A year later including heavy usage, and lots of washing. Plus lots of running and play in rainy western Oregon and this vest is still going strong. A friend made a sweater for her as a moving present and in the real cold I layer it, and it works great. She's also now 28lbs (but still long and lanky) and the XL still fits great. In fact I just ordered another one, and I'll probably order a third (my dog has so little body fat she gets cold terribly easy). It is both affordable and well made. I recommend them to all my friends with small dogs.My dog is weirdly shaped - she's long and lanky, 22lbs. At her chest she's 22" and her neck is 15". I bought the XL for her and it fits pretty well. It drifts off her neck some, but that's okay. I definitely need to get her something warmer for winter, but this should work for fall and spring in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.My one concern is the leash holder on the back, I'm not sure how well it will hold up. I have concerns that if she tries to take off quickly, that the fabric will rip.

STARS: 5/5 this is a perfect dog coat.I was NOT paid in any way or given free products for this review.Sizing: I ended up finding this fleece Gooby brand pullover. Mr. Stern is a 7 month old pug and a bit more than twenty lbs. He is wearing a size large. It fits snug but has a little room to grow. I like that this coat is simply pulled over his head and not zipper of buttoned on.Care: I also like it is easy to wash and dry.It has a little ring so if you don't have some wild dog who will remove his sweater this can be used without a harness. If your dog is more frisky layer this with a harness or collar.Probably just my imagination but Mr. Stern seems to really like his coat. He does a little prance when I put it on him. Cost: costing less than $15 I'd say this is a great little coat. I think it will last for years of hard use IF pupper doesn't outgrow it.

I bought a medium size, it arrived in good time. It was tiny. When I arranged a refund I was being charged nearly £4 to return it. Absolutely disgraceful

The product quality is fine for material and stitching but the sizing is small. I ordered large, making provision for extra inches in case. The large was still very tight on my dog. It was a struggle to put his legs through also as there are no zippers or buttons.If you’re going to buy this product, I’d recommend buying 1 size up.

Good quality fleece for dogs. I got size M for my one year Yorkie. It’s very comfortable for him to sleep in or go for walks. Totally fine to put in the washing machine with the rest of the laundry. Great!

Bought the medium for my dog and was far too tight so re ordered the large today which is shown in the image which is wayyyy to big. Already paid £4.99 to return the medium so not best pleased with the sizing

Brought this for my 5 month old maltipoo puppy and it works brilliantly at first the sizing debate in the reviews was worrying but I brought him a medium and im sure it'll fit him into adult hood. He's a toy poodle and maltese cross for reference. But amazing and strong he can be a bit of a puller. But would definitely buy again!!
