This product broke on my first use. It is made of a light weight metal. The 3/8" shaft broke off in the drill chuck. Not only is the auger not made of a strong enough material to handle its 3.5" X 24" dimensions. In retrospect, I do not see how such a device would last long without a 1/2" shaft.

The price was great. Digs great too attached to my 24 volt DeWalt drill. I used it to dig a 30 inch deep hole in my yard to install my 20 foot flagpole. Once I got red clay after a foot or so I sharpened the flutes with my grinder for better bite and it worked great. Took me about a half hour to make 30 inches which is awesome because it was 94 degrees that day (July 4th) and I wanted my flag flying. Would recommend. Save your back lol.

Using this auger and a variable speed drill made quick work of planting four dozen flower bulbs. My soil has very few rocks and the ground was moist from a recent rain. It's a great tool to have in my garden shed collection.

Used it for planting bulbs in the woods. Just go slow in case you hit a root because it will grab and could injure your wrist. Works as it should and is heavy duty.

It works great I’ve used it for small posts , plants around the house for bigger holes I’ve used it to loosen the dirt to dig easier over all I’m happy with it for the money . We have very rocky dirt it digs through the rocks or in the softer dirt and clay hope you have a strong wrist .

Easy to install on my drill. We needed to drill 12” depth in clay soil, not an easy task. The Auger produced a quick and concise hole. We were installing steel rod, so the concise holes required less back filling.

Product does not function effectively on a standard electric drill. It just didn’t get the job done.

Splendid piece of equipment for drilling holes in the ground for planting! My back and knees are appreciative.
