Smartwool Men's Classic Thermal Merino Base Layer Bottom

Under a hiking pant these work great for me for hiking in the teens and down below zero. Great fit and merino wool comfort from Smartwool.

The 250 SmartWool base layer bottoms are clearly advertised by the seller's page as "Made in the USA".This was feature was prominently presented as the second item in the specs.However they are made in Vietnam. I actually sought out Made in USA items and am disappointed that these were made in Vietnam. Yes it matters very much to me.

Wonderful warmth and comfort.

I just ordered a second pair. These are comfortable and warm. They don't feel like typical long underware. They are soft cozy and warm above all warm.

Durable thick but not uncomfortable

Saw this at about 50% off normal rate and jumped on it.It took at least a month to arrive shipping out of China (first clue, since it's "made in Vietnam").Opened the package to find the product looked genuine at first glance, but smelled strongly of chemicals (hint 2).Dug in deeper, and the very-nearly authentic looking product advertising that comes on Smartwool was full of broken English and nonsense characters - whatever they used to translate failed them.Next, the "Smartwool" branding on the waistband is not the typical (and as visible in product pictures) embroidery, but a rubberized stick-on.Lastly, there's some obvious QC errors in stitching, and the fabric itself does not feel like all my other merino gear - it feels synthetic or blended.It's a very well done knockoff, but it is certainly counterfeit. I'll be paying closer attention to avoid any product shipping from China from now on.

Expensive, but they do the job. Happy to have them.

If you like being out in the cold this product is for you. Very warm and comfortable.
