Medium heat or your will be bitter
The media could not be loaded. This is a great Moka pot but, as with “ALL” of them they need to be used with medium heat until the coffee just starts to froth out of the upper tube. If is sputtering and hissing you’re using too high of a heat and the coffee will be bitter. You must take your time, and quite frankly is usually less time than waiting in line at a coffee shop. Watch a couple video’s on how to use a Moka pot and you’ll achieve great results. It’s not hard, but a warning; if you’re blueing the stainless steel or melting the tack welds off you’re using way to much heat! You will not get a good cup out of this pot and probably end up frustrated. Take your time, use low heat, have patience with the process, and you can make a beautiful and savory cup from this rig.

Great coffee
I had an aluminum moka pot years ago and ended up hating it, so I was reluctant to buy this but I really wanted something that could make super strong coffee without going all in and getting an espresso machine.I am so glad I did. I love this moka pot. It looks nice sitting on the stove, it's super easy to clean and use, and makes really good coffee! I mostly use it to make Americano like drinks, but I tried it over ice and it makes great iced coffee as well.

Best I've ever had and all I'll ever need.
Awesome find after a long, disappointing search for a satisfactory method. Must-have for strong-coffee worshipers. Wish I'd found this 20 years ago. Stainless steel is far preferable to the coated aluminum of Bialetti best sellers. Took time to master it: correct grind coarseness, grinds loosely placed, adequate flame, right cleaning, but I have it dialed in and I'm thrilled to get great coffee every time. Took it on the road with a jetboil camp stove to use in hotels and it absolutely did the job: great coffee, anywhere every time! Cleaning's a cinch: hot water, any kind of brush will do, cold water will work just fine in a pinch. Spend 15 seconds once a week with the brush knocking out anything accumulating in the screen, column and most importantly, the steam holes, for consistent and best performance. When it's working optimally, the stuff just flows out with nary a sound and it's done in 5 minutes. More typically, it's steaming like ships boiler, sounds like 747 taking off and takes around 7 minutes. That's the sound of good coffee! When you don't get things just right, look for these experiences. Don't give up because they are easy to correct:-at worst the coffee won't come up at all, it'll just sit there boiling away. Try giving the pot a shake or a couple of good taps on the stove. That usually gets it started. If not you'll have to start again. Coarsen the grind a tad bit and DON'T PACK THE GRINDS IN!-comes up too slowly. Gets overcooked, may reach boiling temperature in the carafe, not a good drink. Give the steam holes a good brushing and DON'T PACK!-steam pressure gets a bit on the high side if the holes aren't clean, it's quaking like a time bomb and roaring like a Saturn 5 rocket blasting off from Cape Canaveral, the steam blasting out of the holes splashing coffee out around the lid. Very dramatic! but coffee is perfectly good and you'll need a sponge for the stovetop. With minimal care you'll get consistent performance, elegant, smooth, delicious brew and the ecstasy that only a good coffee can bestow on this exhausted world.

Espresso anyone? Yes!
There’s nothing like a big pot of espresso to share with everyone. I got the whole office hooked to it. Good buy drip junk. My only gripe is the weak hinge that holds the lid on. Be careful not to bend it.

makes a decent cup of espresso
i enjoy drinking/brewing coffee. i have many different style of brewers at home but bought this as my first moka pot style brewer for espresso brew. the main reason i chose this item is because of its full stainless steel body, as aluminum material over high heat can have a health concern. i got the 12-cup version & it is slightly bigger than expected. you can see it's taller than a 16oz poland spring bottle. the construction is solid and the body is brushed beautifully. here's my tip on making coffee with this pot:1. grind beans in finer size (for espresso), adjust according to your taste. don't use too much grounds compare to regular coffee. i used 2 teaspoons for my brew. then spread the grounds in the filter level2. add purified BOILED water at the bottom, DO NOT FILL OVER THE HOLE. i poured 10-cup amount of pre-boiled water so that it would hit the desired temperature sooner and result in consistent extraction.3. assemble the parts together and place on the gas stove (works in other electric and induction stoves too!). use a medium to low heat.4. in about 3 minutes, you should start hearing the gurgling sound. turn off the fire and remove the pot as soon as you hear the gurgling sound changes (because it's done).5. touch the handle first to make sure it's not hot, then remove from stove right away and place on a wet towel. serve and enjoy!

Cheap knockoff
I have been using moka pots for decades and needed to replace my Bialetti because I got an induction stove. I bought this pot because it looked very much like one I had years ago, but it turns out to be a cheap knockoff. An induction-compatible pot’s bottom has to be completely flat. This one was, but it warped after 2 or 3 uses. I was immediately suspicious of it because it is so lightweight; indeed, it weighs less than 2 lbs (the one I just bought to replace it weighs 2.8 lbs). I returned it and was forced to pay $6.99 to do so because I no longer had the original packaging. This one might be okay on a gas or electric coil stove, but not on an induction.

Cumple su función. Solo los acabados no son los mejores. Hasta ahora me ha funcionado bien.
