Do not buy
This bike has been a real pain to deal with. I bought it for my 7 year old son and it is hard for him to ride. The bike is very heavy and it takes a lot of effort to get it moving. Part of the issue is the front wheel fits very tight so much so that it seems like a design flaw. I emailed asking for a replacement but of course got no reply. I would not recommend this bike to anyone. For the price, look to any other brand/model this is a bad product. Also the seller does not even care enough about customer satisfaction to return your emails. It would be in your best interest to avoid this seller too.

Not the best but it’ll work for now...
Works for its purpose. It’s a bike. My son is thrilled! However, the front brakes rub on the front tire pretty bad. Brake pad and cable adjustments were futile... We actually took the brake pads off after the poor kid took a sharp left turn down a small hill and did a Superman over the handlebars... The misaligned brakes stopped the tire in the dead center of the turn and there he went *WOOSH*! Honestly, this happened a few times before I realized it was the bikes fault and not the kids fault. I just thought it was a part of the clumsy and learning to ride on two wheels thing that kids go through. I was wrong and am grateful it was only a few bumps and bruises. The handlebars also leave something to be desired. Now that it’s being ridden more often, we’re always having to tighten the handlebars. They often move without moving the front tire. It works as an around the culdesac bike but heaven help my nerves if there’s a car coming in. If I could do it again, I wouldn’t. Spend a few more dollars and buy quality.

My 7 year old tomboy loves it but I dont!
I didn't purchase this bike from Amazon but Somerset, KY Walmart instead; however I thought I'd write a review and post some pictures up for parents to see!My youngest little girl 7 is a bit of a tomboy as you can see. She loves her NEW bike but there are some positives to this bike and a few downfalls...Positives:- Has a kick stand-Has training wheels- The brakes seem to work great and are near the handle bars.- The front has red pegs like a trick bike which I'd say you could change those out and put them on the back if you wanted to- love the red color on the tires- it was a cheap price for $69.97 at Walmart as opposed to Amazon being a little more pricier for bikes that I checked before going to Walmart to buy.Perfect for a smaller child that is 7 like my daughter or a bigger 6 year old, I'd say the age frame for this bike would be perfect for a 5 year old to a 8 year old (if smaller and not too tall for the 20" bike)Downfalls: The back tire doesn't want to spin when on a road that has a small amount of gravel and bumpiness. If the ground is even such as a church parking lot, where we went afterward the wheel spins thoroughly. It is a bit frustrating but I would say you get what you pay for! Possibly purchasing a bike through Amazon would be better after all. :(

Great bike for ages 4-7
I have a 6 year old who outgrew his 16" bike, so we upgraded to this 18" Kent Abyss. I was very happy that this bike has handle bar brakes and still stops if the kid pedals backwards, and training wheels that are removable. My son is still learning and needed the options. The seat is adjustable quite a bit so it fits him right now at the lowest setting and my son is 48" tall. We chose this bike because it was given a few good reviews, it had a decent price, and it was a good size that could last him 2-3 years. There are other kids in our area that have this same size and they are much taller. So, I got this 18" bike for now, knowing that it will be with us for at least two years, then he may outgrow it. My son was pleased with the size and the colors, but neither of us were pleased with the amount of graphics. So, we promptly removed the majority of the stickers that were on the bike. We like the solid paint colors and settled for just a few of the printed stickers that are on the middle grey section. We were pleased that they were all removable stickers and not painted on. Overall this is a good enough bike for this age group. He will be able to ride this to school and ride on sidewalks and at the park this summer.

Perfect size and look for a six year old to grow into!
We got this bike for my six year old for Christmas! We love that it’s small enough for him to ride, but large enough to last a few years. It also doesn’t have the toddler look a lot of the 16” bikes have. He can feel like one of the big kids without the worry of tipping over without training wheels. It felt smooth when we tested it, easy to ride.We picked it up at wal mart, but thought others might like to see what it looks like.
