Minor glitches that do not affect trackability
Wiring this into your vehicle will allow it to charge up every time the key is turned on. Without hardwiring, you will have to monitor it's battery level and charge it manually as needed . If you hardwire this in to your vehicle you will receive notifications when you turn the key on/off and when movement is detected. It senses and notifies when the unit has been plugged in and when power has been cut as well as any movement to the unit. In other words start your car up moving an inch and turn it off you will receive 3 notifications from the app as well as text and email notifications if you desire. I don't mind this redundancy however email notifications have stopped working altogether and text notifications happen sporadically. I have not experienced any trouble with its ability to track the Vehicles movement. I was fortunate enough to purchase this prior to the service fee increase. Vectu was nice enough to email me about the increase and gave me the opportunity to buy more years of service at the original lower rate. I found that level of honesty to be refreshing. I was also notified when the company was experiencing problems on their end. I was not using my vehicle that day so I didn't notice anything wrong but it's nice to know that they will give you a heads up if their system is down. The app even gives you battery level information which is helpful from afar. Would be 5 stars if not for the minor glitches. I would recommend this product and service to anyone looking track their possessions.

very limited national coverage with antiquated 2G
Purchased this unit and it would never connect to their server. I charged it up, set up and account, I turned it on and just blinked red forever. I DID check the T-Mobile website to ensure coverage of my area prior to purchasing. All across my state is even 4-G coverage, so I should have been good! I live where there are no buildings, skyscrapers and I even live where there are few/no trees. It comes with a two day subscription and still no connection. So I sent it back. I did contact tech support, but the two day free service expired and I still had no response. FYI more than a week later and still no response. I purchased another unit figuring it was defective. I followed startup procedure to the letter again, and again, won't connect to the server. There is NO phone number to call for support. I emailed again and no one responded . Remember there is a two day window of free service and you can chose to renew it for $15 for 3 months or $50 per year with the risk of having a non functioning unit. I would have felt better to simply talk to a tech support person to see if there is a reason but again...No response. I am editing this and will continue to edit it if things improve or are resolved. But, with no one to call, no tech support to see if there is something I could possibly be overlooking after purchasing two non-working units. I cannot justify buying a subscription to their service as I would be out another $15-$50 (as others were stuck with as I read)., so I would say this is NOT something I can recommend. Too bad! It sounds like a nice idea and some people have had good luck but two non-working units may be too risky to recommend buying. while waiting longer for tech support to respond and before I return the second unit, I have discovered several posts stating that even if you are 4G covered by T-Mobile that the 'old 2G coverage towers' are being taken down nationally and eventually this unit will have no coverage due to antiquated electronics. I don't know if it is true, but I live in 4-G coverage area, no obstructions and I cannot connect. FYI this review prompted a reply within hours, but tech support reply is still pending...4/27/17 : update: after posting this review I was THEN contacted by tech support! Thanks for that! Even though I looked up T-Mobile coverage, their map does NOT indicate 2G coverage it indicates only LTE coverage which is not the same. After searching minor websites I found a 2G coverage map that is very sparse in the Midwest and essentially only around large cities even nationally. So if you travel or your car/item is taken out of the 2G area you will be unable to connect to their server and track your item. This is likely why people report spotty coverage and gaps in the mapping in reviews. Also I found that T-Mobile will be stopping ALL 2G towers by 2020. So this is a limited use item even for areas of current coverage. I will look for another similar tracker with more updated tech in order to cover my area and for more than 2.5 years of use on towers that are NOT currently being decommissioned. I would suggest this company work to update it's technology and service provider as this item seems like a nice tracker but limited coverage and lifespan

Pointless- Not getting reliable sound or text notifications.
Tracker itself works fine, so far. Several great features on the app- hypothetically.Problem is I purchased this to "watch" my vehicle overnight and notify me audibly if my vehicle is moved &/or passes a preset "geofence" parameter. What I actually get: sometimes, I get an in-app notification which only vibrate, in spite of having repeatedly tried to activate the sound option in notifications on my phone. This will not wake me up if my vehicle is moved. All of my other apps with sound notifications are working fine.I almost always get an email. That's great.I'm not going to turn on audible notifications for emails or I'd be getting startled awake each time I get one of the 10 or 20 emails that show up in my inbox overnight from various sources.Maybe 20% of the time, I get the text message. This is what I want. I want a loud audible text message to wake me up in the night if my car is moved. But that is not what I am getting the majority of the time. I leave the gps armed all day so it should be notifying me each time the car is moved. I drive to work, I might get a text. I drive home/around town, zero text messages. Plenty of emails and the quiet in-app notify. No texts. This leaves me with a device that will be happy to let me know hours later in the morning via email/silent app notification I slept through that my car is now 100s of miles away and probably stripped and destroyed. That makes my $100 investment basically useless.Create more reliable audible in app notifications, or improve the text message feature, or both. When this happens and I feel more confident in the reliability of your app/notification system,I will absolutely come back and update my review.

the GPS isn't that great. Sometimes it gives an approximate location within 50 ...
A few cons after having this for over 5 months.1- The battery now only lasts three days max and it takes ages to charge2- You also need a subscription every three months that costs $15.3- Most importantly, the GPS isn't that great. Sometimes it gives an approximate location within 50 meters. If the bike was stolen, it'd take a while to find it.Not worth the £80.

Awful product!
Awful product and awful customer service. Bought 2 of these for 2 work vans and the location on both keep sticking to our site location marked as not moving and a time stamp of the previous days despite the vans being on the roads many many miles away. emailed customer services about 5 times now with no reply. Will not be renewing the subscription when it expires and will be looking for a better product as soon as possible, you get what yo pay for i guess! Cheap product.

Product and service stopped working.
The device, app and service stopped working after using it for a while. Contacted customer service several times over the past 6 month but no response. They still took the money for the yearly subscription. It was a great product whilst it worked so this is really frustrating. My suspicion is that the company has gone bust, failing to inform their clients. Feeling scammed. Avoid!

Money wasted - take money but don't provide promised service.
Poor product and even worse customer service. Used mine for a few months and then the unit stopped being recognised on the app. Emailed support to describe the issue and ask for help and haven't received a response yet (it's been two months). Poor battery life and bulky. Aspenta is happy to take your money for a subscription and in return you get nothing.

Poor battery, useless notifications
Battery lasts for 3 days only, far from advertised 7. What happens if I go on vacation for 1 or 2 weeks? Connect to external battery, you say?Yes, but then you get connected/disconnected notifications every 40 minutes. Even at nightFix the notifications so that one could choose what type of notifications to receive and I will edit my review
