Nitecore NU35 Rechargeable LED Headlamp - Dual Power Hybrid - 460LM LED - IP66 Waterproof/Red Light Headlamp ([Black])

When this product arrived, I literally swapped it for the one I was using (without charging) and used it in a loft. Unlike my other headlights, this has easy-to-use controls and the buttons have a positive action making the unit easy to control. It has both red and white light with variations in brightness (from very dim to super-bright). There's also a warm white mode (single brightness level) which is good for general use. Turbo mode is super-bright. I haven't used the battery compartment, so it's very light. Charging light is red/green showing charging status. The light is nice and diffuse with no center hotspot. You can test the current charge level to see if it needs charging. Strap looks cool (reflective) with grippy rubber inside. As others have stated, the buckle is 'inside' when it should be outside, and it does have a tendency to slip so you have to tighten it. £40 is double what I would normally pay for a head torch, but to be honest it's worth the extra for good controls and a nice diffuse light pattern. Best head torch I've used so far.

Expensive but brought cheaper models that were cheaply made, this is very well made and has red light also which is useful.

The headlamp arrived it works great with batteries but when i plugged it in it kept flashing Green intermittently and after 4 hours charging the battery hasn’t charged at all i took aaa batteries out and nothing. I’ve sent it back and ordered a replacement I will update. This is the third nitecore product i have bought i bought two nitecore tips and the batteries on those also gave up the ghost on me after a week. The light itself is awesome and still functions when plugged in or with tripple As. The brightness modes are great. Fingers crossed the 4th nitecore product i but will work.

This torch has now accompanied me on various camping trips to the Brecon Beacons, in all manner of weather. The dual power system is ingenious and is nearly seamless, meaning being able to charge or replace the batteries of this headtorch is incredibly easy and convenient, anywhere with a USB port or anywhere that sells AA batteries.Granted, I have made no attempts to abuse or push this product to the limit, but it has served me incredibly well, the red torch being invaluable when camping with friends so as not to wake them when you need to find something in the dark. I would wholeheartedly recommend this product, and I am highly tempted to purchase more Nitecore products!

Haven't used it in anger yet, but it all works and seems robust and well-designed. Four stars, because Amazon made a right meal out of getting it to me twice, and the box was badly torn.

Love this it last long time it's great little light works a treat.

The outer casing is flimsily attached. As is the strap. They both broke off easily and quickly without any particularly rough treatment. Also it managed to have turned itself on whilst the case was on. The expectation of that not happening was a large reason I purchased this model. Very disappointed

I’m very pleased with this light. I use it for work. I purchased this as I was fed up of batteries discharging often running out when needed. This light will have a very hand back up of internal battery. The switch of power isn’t the smoothest and it might be a tad big to used for running but I’m very pleased.
