HAZARD 4 SunTac: Cotton Boonie Hat w/MOLLE

Like the snaps to make it an Aussie hat. Pocket in the peak of the cap. Velcro and MOLLE all over the place, well stitched. Neck strap long enough and can be tucked out of the way to the back. Riveted vents won't fray. This has become my favorite boonie hat. Coyote tan is my preferred color, since I can add whatever vegitation or ghillie junk to change it.If somebody else on the team is looking for another boonie hat this is the one I'll recommend.

Like everything from Hazard4, this hat is extremely well thought out and designed. They take a concept and push it to its limits. The hat has 4 vents, two per side. It has snaps to hold the brim to the sides if you want to wear it in the "cowboy" way. With previous boonies, you'd use the chinstrap for this. Chinstrap features a cord lock and a breakaway connector. There is also a small compartment in the hats bucket for small items. The hat is rip stop fabric and quick drying from sweat, rain or washing. The nylon webbing surrounding the hat is Velcro. Mine was ordered in Coyote and it is true to color and perfectly matches other coyote tan items I have. Finally, the hat is extremely comfortable to wear. Let another poster said, this hat became a favorite in the first day of wearing it. If you have other Hazard4 gear, you know what I'm saying...they really have their stuff together.

I give it a 5 star. Just receiving my order on 06/27, out of the box review is impressive. Great quality in making this item. Love the hidden pocket in hat to keep my bandana. Velcro loops all over the hat to put moral patches on and to hold my sun glasses, small pen, lighter, just to name a few. Looking forward to placing 550 Para cord around hat. Stitching looks very solid and durable. Solid hat for camping, boating, hiking, beach or any other outdoor event. Looks to be able to provide great protection from the sun.I am very happy that it fits great too. I have a large head and not many hats fit me as great as this one does, plus have a folded bandana in top of hat too. I would have given 5 stars if the original one I bought fit according to their size chart. I had to return and buy the x- large instead of large, but exchange was prompt. Wish it came in OD green, but otherwise excellent quality. Velcro attached can be removed if desired and done carefully.

My new favorite boonie hat. This hat is built like a tank, but still lightweight. I've always preferred the side snaps on a good boonie hat because I mostly wear mine with the sides up for better hearing. Unsnap it and get a full 3" of brim shade. This hat breathes well, fits great (pick your right size), protects your face, neck and ears from sunburn, and it keeps you cool on hot days when you get it wet. The chin strap is heavy duty and stitched in strong, and the side clip means you can adjust it to your chin and just unclip the side. The velco molle webbing on the front, back and sides has velcro on it so you can wear your favorite morale patches, too.

This is really the perfect Boonie, Materials are quality as you would expect from Hazzard 4, The chin strap works great, easly adjustable and QD buckle for quick removal, Velcro Molle Webbing on top so you can add patches, Name Tapes or maybe even a small Molle Pouch, hidden pocket in the roof of the hat to stash some cash, documents or something more creative... I initally order the wrong size which was my fault just make sure to check the size option before checking out The Regular fit my head perfect but the XL is really Big...

I am bald and wear hats...alot. And there is a lot to say about this hat. The Cotton material (looks like Ripstop) makes it extremely light. The hidden pocket is a cool feature to store a few bucks, although I'd recommend using a plastic baggie to keep the dough dry. The velcro molle is nice for moral patches and shotgun shells and the ventilation holes are punched with a brass rivet. It's also a bit "taller" then most other hats of this type.The chinstrap's buckle is a bit of overkill, but some may find it useful. The same with the snaps for the brim. If I were to change anything, it would be for the chinstrap to go "through" the brim and around the hat (currently it is sewn into the brim).It's a bit more expensive then other "Boonies," but as I have paid many times more than this buying/trying a bazillion others, it's worth the price.

I just received this Boonie, and already wish that I hadn't waited so long to order it. It fits perfectly, has a sturdy strap which you can adjust as well. If you have as many patches as I do, no worries; there is plenty of velco to place them all, and you can also weave paracord around the hat band (Stormdrane has a great YouTube video tutorial for doing that). There is a map holder inside the Boonie, and if you are lost in the woods, you can eat the hat for sustenance........okay, you can't really eat it for sustenance, but other than that, this hat is perfect. Now go buy it........seriously, go buy it..........stop reading this review and buy this boonie........

Il cappello mi piace è molto comodo anche se purtroppo l'ho preso di una taglia più piccola, ha una grandissima pecca che non so se sia capitato anche agli altri, dopo alcuni utilizzi intensi e lavaggi, il cappello ha iniziato a scolorirsi in alcuni punti esterni, facendolo sembrare che sia sporco di sudore, purtroppo per il prezzo che costa non ha scusanti ed è un problema gravissimo, anche perchè viene sponsorizzato come cappello militare, quindi non dovrebbero esserci compromessi sulla qualità, peccato.

Plenty of velcro for the patch-of-the-day ;-) The brim is wide enough to protect your neck and ears from the sun (or rain)Not sure I see the utility of the quick release buckle on the chin-strap...The one I received is in a different fabric than the one shown with the product. Seems to have a rip-stop pattern weaved in.Happy with mu purchase, would buy again!

Très confortable, même par forte chaleur.Tient bien sur la tête.Le tissus est agréable, bon séchage.Prix un peu élevé.

Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut. Ich kann keine Nahtfehler oder ähnliches finden.Was mir besonders gut gefällt ist das der Hut etwas fester ist und nicht "labbrig".Ich stimme einem Vor-Rezessenten zu, einige Lüftungslöcher mehr hätten den Komfort verbessert. Was die Größe angeht stimmt die Angabe recht gut, mit einer -kleinen- Tendenz zu "eng ausfallen".Über den Clip an der Seite bin ich mir noch unschlüssig wie ich den finde.. mal schauen was die Zeit bringt.
