No allergies
I've had my Standard Poodle on this food for a few months now. She hasn't had any issues with allergies since being on this food. She likes it and eats it with no problem. I get a subscription discount and have it shipped monthly to get a best bang for my buck. The food has been consistently made. Each piece is a small, flat disc shape. It's a hard, crunchy kibble. There's not a bunch of crumbs at the bottom of the bag. The bags good are always in good condition and the food always fresh. I pour half the bag into a rolling storage bin, and 2 weeks later I pour the other half in, and it's perfect. For reference: my Standard Poodle is a 50 pound female. She's 2 years old. I free feed her, providing atleast a full cup in her bowl each time it's empty or almost empty. It seems to be pretty filling for her. This food has successfully cleared up some brownish-red eye staining that she had developed. She's healthy and happy and this is her main diet (she gets 1 or 2 treats each day).

NO CHICKEN MEAL!!!😊
Searched for so long for a dog food that isn’t extremely expensive, and the #1 ingredient is what the product is marketed as, and not “chicken meal”. My dog has allergies and my vet recommended salmon dog food only. I wish everyone’s dog could eat this food. it’s premium quality, and my dog loves how it tastes. We also buy the salmon natural balance cat food for our cat. Best ingredients at an affordable price! 😊

Limited ingredients
I given this food to all my fur babies for the past several years. It does come in a puppy formula as well as a small breed version and the regular size nugget version. Because of the limited Ingredients it's gentle on their stomach and makes the afterwords clean up much better than alot of the cheap quality brands. The larger size bag is the best way to get the better value. My little guy is about 16 lbs and the large bag last him almost 3 months.

Picky picky Poodles
This food is very digestible, it is still good softened with broth or warm water, it mixes well with wet food, the big bags I get are a great value will last about a year with my two small dogs, the morsels are right size

FORMULA CHANGE...PUKEY EPISODES
I purchased the NB Lamb & Rice formula for half of my German Shepherds life until we found out from a gastrointerologist that he became intolerant to lamb. Already facing difficulties with him being allergic to basically EVERYTHING, we switched to the Sweet Potatoe & Salmon formula. Everything seemed great until around October 2022, when my Shepherd suddenly started throwing up immediately after eating. At first, we blamed new meds since he switched medications due to Osteoarthritis and figured his body needed time to adjust. After a month of this, we finally had enough because his medications aren't cheap and he was not only throwing up his food (money lost) but also his meds (money wasted). Due to such severe allergies along w/ extreme digestive issues, I switched him to strictly Blue Buffalo wet food. So far, he has adjusted well and no more pukey episodes.Since our Lab has skin allergy issues as well, we switched her to the Salmon/Sweet Potatoe bags left over from our Shepherd as to not waste anymore money and seems to be doing ok so far.I understand prices have gone up due to ingredient shortages/inflation. However, I'd much more prefer to pay more for the same brand and SAME INGREDIENTS than to try and substitute for similar but not the same ingredients. So many pets have severe food allergies, just like humans, and it angers me when companies try to jip consumers of the truth just to save a buck. I guarantee many pet parents, like myself, would be more than willing to pay more to get a product that works rather than having ingredients switched and then us having to spend an arm and a leg with vet visits, food changes and clean-ups that are entirely unnecessary and stressful to both owner/pet. A caring, good owner doesn't ever like to see their pet suffer and it breaks our heart to see them not well. So, unfortunately, I have to now buy wet food in bulk and deal with stinky breath from the bacteria that lingers within the gums and now am paying double in price buying dental chews to mask a problem that wouldn't be there if companies actually cared about their customers. I will still continue to purchase for our Lab, at least until she starts to have issues too, but buyers beware if your dog has severe allergies, you might want to try a small bag first before committing to larger purchases.

For Sensitive Tummies
I’ve always been true to Blue Buffalo because you can get it anywhere and you can change flavors without upsetting the tummy. Then I got a Standard Poodle (which are known to have food allergies) and he had chicken, beef, and salmon in his first six months. He had chronic diarrhea and lots of vet tests (thank Dog for health insurance!). We couldn’t figure it out. Then, his trainer suggested limited ingredient Natural Balance Bison or Venison and everything became solid almost overnight. She said lots of pups develop early allergies. He’s almost two and writing the next year or so, I’ll try some of the previous meats. This is expensive, but so are non-stop vet tests and bills.

Darker than it should be! Yikes
UPDATE: after my dog has eaten more than half the bag with ease it’s come to mind that maybe the dark color is from freshness. Pieces, from what I can tell, are crunchy and not crumbly. So I will buy again. Probably fresher than big box store!**********We have been buying this food and love it, however it’s our first time buying it from Amazon. Don’t do it! Bag had punctured a bit and food looks strangely dark. Smells ok and dog ate it. However I’ll be skipping sale price and buying at local store instead. No return option!

My dog’s allergic to chicken and a lot of other things so this is the next
I noticed that the product was OK but it’s not enough meat wish there was more venison in it then sweet potato!!! I ended up having to buy some of the seafood salmon also and put a few tablespoons in to get enough protein.

Changed formula?
Think they changed the formula. Not suitable for my dog anymore. Skin gotten worse and he is no longer looking forward to his meals anymore. Still have 3 more packets unopened.
