Calslock with Key Locking Device

This lock is fantastic! My husband and I are living in an apartment while we wait for our house to be built. I can't install a permanent lock on the door because we are just renting, but I was nervous that my children (who are 2 and 4 years old) may open the door when I'm not within earshot (in the middle of the night, when I'm in the shower, etc.) This does the trick perfectly and provides extra security that gives me peace of mind. It is very, very simple to use and also very effective. I love the fact that you can lock it with a key because my son is particularly clever at circumnavigating safety locks! I can also foresee using this in the future when we are traveling as an extra security measure.

First off, this is a very good product. I could not use it on the door I wanted to because of the outlining of the door I wanted to lock. If the door you want to lock is flat and flush then I highly recommend this product.There is one fact I feel should be clearly explained about this lock. The lock works so that you can lock things inside while you remain outside. For example, locking a closet in your room so that only you can open that closet with a key.

I bought this because I have a grandson, 16 years old, with autism, low functioning, non-verbal and an escape artist. He always tries to get out to go to some of the hot tubs.We were going to a vacation at a resort in Breckenridge CO. We have gone on quite a few of these trips over the years and it is always a challenge to keep him in our rooms. This lock worked perfect! He couldn't get it open, so we all slept a lot better.

Positives:- It works.Negatives- It makes a lot of noise when you pull it out- You need to jiggle and play around with the brown piece for quite a while before you can pull it off the door- The lock doesn't seem to fit well. If you force it though, it will go in.- Expensive.Summary is that I'm glad I found something that works for what I needed, but it really is too expensive and lacks quality that I'd expect from something that costs so much.

Works well! I have a Severely disabled Autistic adult son and we just moved to an apartment that will not allow us to put in Double Keyed(key required on both sides)deadbolt. My son Will get out at night and wander unless secured inside. I have tried standard Child locks on doors(like the ones need to squeeze to turn) and he very quickly figures those out. This works well so far after 3 weeks of use and lets me sleep in peace knowing he is safe and secure inside.

I have an Autistic son with ADHD. He likes to get outside and roam. This works perfectly and is the only thing that has been able to deter him. The only downside is it takes several steps to unlock the device from the door. But it gives me piece of mind at night and during the day knowing he cannot get out.

This lock won't stop a burglar, but it does give a little more privacy and it's easy to use...

What a Dissapointment.......these Sliding-Locks LITERALLY, FALL APART FROM JUST INSERTING & TURNING THE KEY.....ON THE FIRST BRAND-NEW "TRY" !!!.PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.........& when I Politely Called Seller,He acted as if I Wanted them for FREE,& that How could HIS HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT BE LIKE I TOLD HIM OVER THE PHONE !!! HE SAID ...I MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING WRONG,FOR 2 OF HIS HIGH QUALITY LOCKS COULD BOTH BE NO-GOOD AT THE SAME TIME.....& ALWAYS ENDING HIS SENTENCE with......I`ve Been a LOCKSMITH for over 35 years,& I know what`s GOOD !!! After ME Paying for the Return at Post-Office & He Received Merchandise.......Then He Finally Admitted that they were Poorly Made by the Chinese Manufacturer !!!!
