Okay, update to my original review. After writing my initial review (below) I was contacted by Rocky (see comments) about a replacement. To be fair, I never did contact the company about the problem, and as Rocky pointed out, you can't fix a problem you don't know about. I guess I am just so used to poor customer service, and the 'gotcha capitalism' that so many companies seem to practice these days, that I didn't even think to bother. Well, this company has some of the best customer-service I think I have ever experienced and they stand by their products no questions asked. You can sense Rocky's enthusiasm even via email (all the way from China!). So long story short. These monitors sound great, look great, isolate noise, come with great accessories, and if you should have any problem, you will be taken care of. Can't really think of a reason not to purchase them! So I am upgrading my original 3 stars to 5. Thanks for watching.ORIGINAL REVIEW FOLLOWS...I have mixed feelings about these monitors. While they sound great and really do isolate noise from the outside, mine began to fall apart almost immediately. This is despite keeping them in the included case when not in use.The first problem was that braided cable on one side began to unravel within a very short time, maybe within a month or two. Later the shielding around the wire on that same side started to fray exposing the copper wire underneath and chafing my ear where the wire makes contact with my skin. This is probably because the braid came undone in the first place.So while they still work today eight months after purchase and still sound great, I am basically waiting for the day that the left ear cuts out completely and I need to buy new monitors. All of this within less than a year of purchase. Sad because it's really a great sounding product that works well. Maybe I just got a bad set, but I probably won't be buying another to find out.

To start, the product is packaged extremely well. I love the zipper carrying case. The ear inserts easily lock into you ear and are the best fitting and, by far, the most comfortable I have ever used. The switch is very convenient and easy to use. The greatest quality of the product is the sound. The broad range and detail sound delivery is spectacular. I have a loss of hearing at high frequencies but this device produced sound I have never heard with ear inserts. It opened a new world.

I've not written a review about these prior, but I believe better late than never.First of all, I need to say that I was impressed by the presentation of the PA-1. I also like the way they sound and feel. I am a singer and I use them as monitors most of the time.Why I didn't give it 5 stars? Because of its 3.5mm plug. As someone else mentioned here, plugging these to 3.5mm jacks will be tricky.Depending of where I am singing I may have a wireless receiver, or an extension cable to a monitor mixer. In both cases, it's common to lose the right contact as I move around and then I need to move the plug to have my monitor back - it's pretty annoying, so in many cases I will just grab any spare monitors available.When I am playing and recording at home, I have a better experience as I can rest the plug on the desk in front of me. Still, I wanted to use these live.I will probably bite the bullet and upgrade to custom fit earbuds for live performance.

These offer audio quality that is really quite good along with significant isolation from outside sounds. I would probably love these headphones were it not for their fatal flaw. Every application I have for these uses 1/4" jacks.The supplied adapter just wasn't getting it done, because I had to hold my mouth right and cross my toes to get it to make contact in the right places. I upgraded to a fancy overpriced high dollar adapter, and still have the same problem. It is very, very annoying for the audio to cut in and out randomly as my head moves and this thing makes and breaks contact within the adapter.SoundSprocket really missed the ball on that. A screw-on adapter that makes a positive, solid connection probably would have earned these monitors two more stars. It's that much of a deal breaker for me, and renders these almost totally useless. I would throw them in a drawer if I didn't need to listen to monitors while wearing a hat. As I have the hat requirement, I suffer with these, awkwardly.

Don't get me wrong, they are a good, set of quality ear-monitors, but they are just glorified earbuds. I bought them because I play the drums and wanted a good pair to play along to music. They definitely block out all exterior noise, but honestly I still went back to my headphones that covered my entire ear.

Bought these as a Christmas gift for my husband, an accomplished jazz drummer of many years who'd taken up, of late, listening to an endless number of YouTube drum tutorials. They more than satisfied my quest for musician quality headphones. Beyond that I soon had the need to replace the beautiful carrying case only because my puppy had taken a liking to them. I can't speak highly enough as to the quality of customer service shown to get me a replacement. Certainly above and beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend the product, the company, and its senior management.

I read in a previous review, saying they weren't up to par, because of it not being a threaded jack. Also the were getting little to no signal, (scratchy, and had to fiddle with it). I feel like I received that costumer's returned unit, as I bought the only used one. I replaced the 1/4'' adapter, and it works like a charm. No signal loss at all. Just be aware, you may need to replace the adapter. Which if you're using this for a live dj environment, you already have at least one. Overall, great sound for the price. Noise cancellation is decent in my studio. Can't wait to try them live at the end of the month.

Great product ....had all the sizes for ear..fits great..sound is great for beginning musician. Worked well for my audition.
