Solid Swedish knife
Mora is the company that supplies the standard issue knives to the Swedish military. With the single bevel edge, and being carbon steel, these knives stay sharp for a very long time. They have an anti-corrosive coating but, given that it is carbon steel, they will rust if you don't take care of them. That is the tradeoff that you will have for the sharper blade. The end of the strap is split in two and the loops on the sheath are doubled. You thread the strap through the bottom of these loops and then lock the strap into place by pulling one of the split ends trough the upper loop backwards. You can lock the strap in place at any of the loops depending on if you want to strap it to a backpack, hang it on a belt or just have a loop that could be used to hang or attach it elsewhere. The intention of this design is to make it MOLLE/PALS compatible so you can attach it securely to backpacks etc. using that system.

Awesome knife and value from a good company!
Mora does a great job making high quality and affordable knives, and the Bushcraft Pathfinder is no exception. The additional length is great for larger bushcraft and camping tasks. Nice and sharp out of the box. Great grip and simple scandy grind is easy to keep sharp. The sheath is not as nice as other mora knives but does the job. Great knife, highly recommended!!

Bad ass knife !!!!!!!!
I guess a favorite knife is like a Quarterback or guitar player, everybody thinks the one they like is the best. Just got mine & I love the way it feels & the weight & the grip. Now I have NOT had a chance to field test it but don't see any potential problems. I think I will head out tomorrow & take it the woods & beat the hell out of it & see what happens. Every Mora I own is awesome (no I don't work for them) & have never broken one. As thick as this blade is, I would have to really abuse it to break it. Confused about the strap attached to the back of the sheath, only has one end attached to the sheath & the other end is loose????? Can't really put it on your belt so not sure how I am gonna carry it but I will make my own sheath.Overall (so far) I love it!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent survival knife with only one drawback
I first heard of Morakniv from "Survival Lilly" on YouTube, then looked into these knives after seeing her use and review them. I needed a longer, full tang survival knife suitable for splitting wood by hammering on the end with a small log. The back of this knife is ground flat from the end of the handle to the tip of the blade. This is important so the hammering force goes into what I am trying to split. By contrast, K-Bar Marine knives, which I also have, are ground flat but not to the end of the blade. Toward the end, they taper to an edge, which absorbs the hammering force, which I don't want. Another benefit to the Morakniv is that the back of it is ground well enough from the factory to use as a striker against my ferrocerium (ferro) rod. You do not want to dull the sharp edge of your knife striking your ferro rod. I use the backside, or spine, of the blade instead. The Morakniv produces very good sparks when used in this way.One downside is that there is no guard where the handle transitions to the blade. One slip and your hand could slip from the handle straight to a very sharp blade. At least the K-Bar has a guard. I have the Morakniv in my camping backpack. If it had a guard, I would call this the perfect survival knife.

A Beast of a knife
This knife is “THE” knife to have in your kit. It is exceptional at carving, feather sticking, batoning, and fire starting. Have had mine for a month now and it is a beast. Morakniv makes the best knives in the world and this thing deserves to be in your bag. Great product…and the sheath is great too don’t fall for the BS you see on YouTube.

Great large garden knife.
I primarily bought this for lawn and garden work, and its just the right weight and stiffness without being a machete. Its not treated nicely, it's dug holes in the dirt and lopped off small branches. It goes through pex tubing easily. I would highly recommend this as an all around maintenance knife.

Buy It
I make hiking sticks in New Hampshire, I have a collection of handmade bushcraft knives from all over the world and most all of the Mora line. This is my favorite.Thought the sheath would suck. It doesntThe handle grip is perfect rubberized texture, the blade although thicker than all other Mora knives is so sharp the bark seems to float off when carving. This was in my pack day one. Buy this

Awesome
I am a huge mora fan and this is awesome m. Super sharp. Nice sharp spine. Great feeling handle. One draw back is the sheath. I don’t like the one that comes with it as there is no true belt loop the down loop isn’t attached at the bottom. I folded it up halfway and it holds well but will sew
