Decent Set, but discs will only last a few rounds if playing in the woods.
This is a decent disc golf set and good for beginners, but definitely not the most durable. My driver flew beautifully for the first few rounds, but after hitting a few trees it became very understable and I lost it throwing it over a fence as it turned over to the right in a direction it didn't previously go. The yellow midrange got severely warped on me after I hit a tree straight on about 20 feet off the teepad, and despite all my efforts I was unable to bend it back to original form.If you are a true beginner who hasn't ever played disc golf before, and doesn't plan to play on courses with lots of trees and obstacles then this is a good starter set. If you plan to regularily play disc golf and on courses with lots of trees, then you will want some higher quality plastic, especially for the driver. The bag ads a nice addition compared with other similar starter sets if you are looking for a simple bags to carry your discs in. I comfortably fit about 8 discs in this bag.

Wonderful Set...For Beginner or Pro!
My husband and I are just now getting into disc golf and were surprised at the multitude of choices out there for equipment. We wanted a good starter set as well as a set that would serve us well down the road as we improved our game. Our Kestrel set is just that! It's great for beginners as well as pros we found out. Ours came packaged well and everything was new as expected. We tried them out and are now hooked. They perform very well and it's also nice having the starter bag that came with them. We are recommending these to our friends so they can purchase them as well.

Great discs!
These discs are super great discs. I am an advanced disc golf player, and I really like playing with these. I have a few comments though. The discs are manufactured by Gateway Discs. These discs are not the design of Kestrel, and in fact are re-stamped Gateway discs. I only say this for the benefit of buyers who may believe they are purchasing a new product exclusive to a smaller company. From what I could tell the five-disc set include the following discs from Gateway:Diablo (in diamond plastic) - 11/5/-1/2Assasin (also in diamond plastic - 9/6/-2/1Demon (in Sure Grip plastic) - 6/3/0/4Element (also in Sure Grip plastic) - 5/5/-1/1Warlock (either in base plastic or Organic plastic) 2/3/0/1The Element is stamped with the incorrect flight ratings, making it look like there are two 11 speed discs in the set, when there is in fact only one. Besides for the misprint, the minor variations in flight ratings between Gateway's product and Kestrel's re-stamp does confuse me, as I do not know why Kestrel decided to override the manufacturer's ratings on the disc. The Sure Grip plastic, while grippy, is quite hard, and it chips really easily when thrown against a tree. However, the drivers and the putter have really durable feels to them, and pleasantly surprised me in the durability department. The bag is quite good, and will make a good Christmas present for a friend or family member, as I have no plans to use it. The material is durable, and the build is really excellent. The value of this package is amazing. If you were to buy each of the products separately, you would be sinking at least 70-80 dollars on this product. The bottom line: if you need a starter set, or even just a step up from a different brand's starter set, Kestrel has you covered. The value is amazing, and a few of these discs are going to last you a long while. Do yourself a favor, and buy one of these sets.

Good set of discs
These discs got me though my first year of disc golf. It took me a few rounds to figure out how to throw them, but once I figured it out, I got better. I'm realizing how their flight characteristics work and I can compensate for that when I throw them. They are of good quality - as good as any other discs I've seen. They're durable - I have nailed some trees with them, especially the drivers, and they bounce right back and fly consistently. They don't take a lot of damage either. I'm happy with the discs, but I'm a total beginner.

Not Par for the Course
I read a lot of rave reviews for this set, and being new to disc golf, I bought two. One for my daughter and one for myself. If you are a casual once in awhile player, go buy a $10 set from Walmart. These are not worth the price here.Pros: Colorful enough to find in the rough. Shipped fast. Delivered on time. Okay for the casual 1-3 times a year player.Cons: Driver disc warped by the second time I played. The yellow print on the carry-bag flaked off when I hand washed it with mild soap. These discs fade hard and are difficult to throw. Over priced. After playing 3 times, I started to get to know the guys on the course. I was doing pretty good for a beginner (2,3,4 over par). I showed them what I was throwing and jaws dropped. "Dude. No one can throw those!" I said I was doing okay with them, and then a guy let me throw his. There is a WORLD of difference (and also a world of price too). If you want to do good at disc golf and play regularly, go with a better set. Do your research. If you are buying to just toss around for fun, get a $10 set. These are not worth the price.

Good for the occasional player.
I have two sets of these, so that I have extra frisbees for friends.I’m just an amateur, but these fly fine and are durable. I have more expensive discs, but honestly can’t tell a difference in performance. These are fine for a novice like me. If you are a pro, maybe you need something fancier. But these should be fine for most folks.

Bent and warped discs!
Just got my discs and opened the package to find 2 out of 3 discs are twisted and warped! Idk if it happened in shipping or Manufacturing. they do not work as intended. You wouldn’t buy a bent bike rim would you???? Idk why they are selling bent and twisted discs!

Not what I ordered
This is the second order I received because the first order was exactly the same and totally wrong. Clearly the bag is not only a different color but a different style entirely. Also, the discs do not match. Obviously the colors are wrong which is not a big deal but the discs themselves are of poor quality. They are made of a hard plastic and do not in any way reflect the quality of discs that are being advertised. Don’t buy!
