Interesting storyline for pre-teens
My 11 year old really enjoys this series. Each book has different topics that preteens find interesting and may encounter in their future. One of the storylines in this book, #23, deals with the main characters visiting sick kids in the hospital. The author did a really good job of balancing the seriousness of the topic with the understanding and comfort level of a pre-teen reader. One thing to note is that the story takes place during the holiday season. The author mentions winter holiday themes and dreidels. So, keep this in mind if you don’t celebrate this time of year.
