Great read and compelling characters
Really enjoyed this second book in the series, great blend of history and story, loads of action and excitement, any fan of the napoleonic wars, military history or just plain action fun will love it.

Well written
This is a lot better than the first book, more interesting and better paced. If the first book was basically true, Burke seems a more rounded and believable character here. Looking forward to book three. The proof reader must have fallen asleep a few times though!

A book worth reading!
Having previously enjoyed other books by Tom Williams, I decided to try Burke and the Bedouin. I was not disappointed, it is a thoroughly riveting read. The book itself is well presented, and is enhanced by a very pleasing front cover.A solid 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

An interesting tale in Napoleonic Egypt
This tale is intriguing and entertaining if a somewhat simplistic read.It is fun and i will be reading the rest of the books but is a little superficial in style.

Enjoyable!
Great interaction between James Burke and Sergeant William Brown. Good story! Author provides plenty of observations about other cultures, well researched. Really enjoy how Burke slips into any situation and makes use of other people and their talents. Burke can be brutal and soft, and listening to William complain is good story telling. Such a great series!
