Authentic German Landbrot Bread Pack of 2

I am a European style bread aficionado since my time living in Germany and eating German bread 4-6 times a day. I know what German bread is supposed to be like. This bread is not it. Don't get me wrong. It is a good bread with a nice flavor and texture, but it is more like an Italian bread with an off-white color and a slight sourdough taste. It is neither dense enough or "sourdoughie" enough to be called a German Landbrot.

Definitely the real thing with a robust "Good, heavy German bread" taste yet isn't too overly heavy. Yum!

We were excited to get this bread because our normal supplier is having staffing problems. What a letdown this bread was. Absolutely no taste. White bread would taste better. This is not true German bread by any means. Unfortunately purchased four loaves, and will probably throw three out. It’s that bad.

Caraway seeds were not listed in the ingredients

As far as taste goes, spot on. As far as price goes, I can buy locally the same quality for a quarter of the price. So, for those that do not have a German bakery nearby, the quality is good.

Love this bread! Not disappointed.

I lived in Germany for 42 years. One the things I've missed is their bread. These loaves arrived fresh and tasting exactly like the German Landesbrot. Thank you for bringing back a small bit of home.
