The inner dimensions of the case are 160mm * 68mm. Since I am not very clear about the size of Oakley Oil Rig's glasses, I can't give you a definite answer.

Q: Wiil the case protect the eyeglasses if someone sits on them

Will protect to some extent. Case is meant to protect in a backpack of some sort. Has been good so far. Only complaint, is that tab for the clip ripped the first week.
