The Empire will destroy you
This game was awesome. I like the ability to play in many different battles and arenas. The game makes you build up your forces, and yet try fend off the enemy while doing so. When you invade either space or land, the only forces you get are the ones you bring with you. So if you don't have a big enough force, then you better be prepared to retreat. I like the fact that you get to use the Death Star. If you play as the Empire and build the Death Star before the Rebels defeat you, there is no chance for the Rebels. Basically as long as you have a large enough space fleet to protect the Death Star, you will win the game. As the Rebels, you feel the stuggle for survival in the Empire controled galaxy. The Rebel campaine is very hard, even in the easy mode, but winable. Unlike when you start the Empire campaign, the Rebels have very little as far as a fleet goes. You have scronge for ships and troops. I had to play and loss many time before I figured out how to beat the empire. It took a a lot patience and time. The one thing about this game is that sucks you in and before you know it, hours of play have gone by. I would have rate this game as one of the best Star Wars Game, if not the best games of all. I am big fan of both Battlefront games, but this one takes the cake. I would recommend this game to everyone who likes stragegy type of games. I give it a five star rating for fun, difficulty, length of play, and the many different battle arenas both space and land.

Quality older strategy game!
This is an older game at this point, if you have an older machine that will still run it, it is a lot of fun, got over a 100 hours of fun replaying this game on different difficulty levels and from each side

The Force is strong with this one
This game is great. The only real problem is that it takes a little while to adjust to the revolutionary real-time system and the different battle system. It's main strength is that it doesn't have tedious resource gathering and you can jump into the action by building your army and attacking immediatly. But that doesn't mean you can spend, spend, spend. You still have to pick and choose carefully what units you need. The best part is that the factions are different. With the Imps, you have your trademark star destroyers and tie fighter while in the rebellion you have your X-wings and Y-wings as well as a few units not shown in the Star Wars movies. The cinematic mode actually makes it feel like you're watching Star Wars movie.

Too chaotic no strategy
Horrible gameplay. This game has absolutely very little tactics, it's all about who has the most units. I was hoping this would be more like C&C Generals, but instead its more like a crappy version of Warcraft where its all about rush tactics. I would strongly suggest trying the demo before wasting your money.

A Modern Star Wars: Rebellion
I'm a big fan of Star Wars and this game is one of the better ones out there. You play as either the Rebellion or the Empire, build up planets, construct ships and ground forces, and invade other planets. It sounds very simple, and it is. But, I think this works in favor of the game instead of against it. This isn't some highly complicated RTS game. All you do is build and attack. The real draw for me are the space battles. You have a special "cinematic view" option which shows the battle in action at dramatic angles. There's nothing like seeing a Star Destroyer duke it out with a Mon Calamari cruiser. The graphics are really something to look at.As for negatives, the ground battles are lack luster and you don't have that many battle options. The ground battles are lack luster because the units really aren't balanced against each other and are usually slow. In regards to the battle options, all you can do is move, attack, attack move, patrol, and use some special abilities each unit has. Some are useful, some aren't. You don't get to fly around your ships at all, they just move along the grid. On the positive side, you can target specific hardpoints. This isn't the best game ever, but it's probably the best Star Wars game to come out in a long time. I think it's worth getting.

Works perfect
I have had like 6 years searching for this game, I finally found it and I am very happy with it. It runs perfect in my Windows 7 computer, I like the effects and that the game is a strategy one.

I love this game.
I find most computer games seem to be designed for the hardcore gamer and are just too hard to play. I think they should have more games for the rest of us and a super easy setting. I like space games that are like an interactive movie. This reminds me of my favorite real time strategy "Homeworld" (the first two).In addition to the scripted Campaign one is able to play quite a few free form campaigns.I really love this game and expect to enjoy it for months. I wish they would make more like it.

Big let down!
I played the game on/off for several days playing the rebels, (I like challenges). My major problems are the space maps are not that big, with all the firepower the IMP displayed in the game does not matter since the AI is a joke, and the game ended too quick. By the time I was getting ready to enjoy the game with some decent cruisers for a change the game ended.I would of love to play it through all the three movies, but it only centered on the first.Very disappointed.
