The fishing line is not that great probably better to order desperate line

handy little kit.
Brought this for a little 2 week away on the boat on the Thames Windsor, caught with it most days well worth the money and it's small compact size is perfect to take away with you. 5 stars

Poorly glued line eyes / loops
The media could not be loaded. The rod and set is decent for the price. The lures / hooks would mainly be used for larger fish. The reel seems good quality but the first time I opened the rod out then tried to get it back down again, the eyes / loops for the line have become dislodged - the glue has failed. Really disappointing considering I haven’t even used it yet. See the photo and video for reference but I wouldn’t expect this to happen after a single use.

Good for the price
My parents live next to a stretch of river that is supposed to be well known for trout but has become infested with roach. One of the owners of the fishing rights said he was happy for me to have a fish so I ordered this kit. On my first try I didn't catch anything but the roach were definitely following the bait. Good Old Mum said try sweetcorn and over the next three days, about an hour a go, I caught 30 roach which I put in my Dad's spring fed pond, and one brown trout, who seemed as surprised as I was. This isn't the most robust bit of kit but for idle pootling or an entry point I think it is ideal.

Rubbish rod
My son was very excited to receive his rod in time for the weekend. However 3 of the circle bits you thread the fishing line through fell of straight away so the rod is now unusable. I’d like a new rod sent as a minimum. There doesn’t seem to anywhere I can click to contact retailer hence my feedback message
