Well Made and Bright
Haven't had them long enough to know if they last and are a good value, but compared to other brands that 'crackle' and burn out they seem to be just the opposite. I see they no longer make a 100W equivalent anymore. THAT'S a shame as it's exactly the brightness I want for indoor floods.

Almost a year
Update +7 days, Cree warranty service is efficient and sent a replacement via fedex within 5 days of responding to the claim submitted online and confirmed via email. Bump that to 5 stars. It's bright, no doubt. Like looking into the sun at full power. I have 5 canister lights and 13' ceilings in the kitchen on a dimmer, we preferred the narrow lense of this flood light in the 6" baffle. Only problem is, 1 of the 5 just stopped coming on one morning. verified purchase 11/2021, 20% so far haven't made it to 25,000 hours. submitted a "claim" on the manufacturer's website, let you know if it gets me anywhere.

Doesn't last 25,000 hrs,... barely lasted 8,000 hrs
We purchased this CREE light bulb for a fixture over our kitchen sink because of its high lumen rating. We previously had incandescent director light bulbs and thought the higher price of the LED bulb was justifiable because of the CREE rated life of 25,000 hours. We purchased and installed this bulb in September 2020. We were very satisfied with the brightness of this bulb, but highly disappointed that it only lasted 15-months. With a daily use of 6 to 16 hours per day, this light bulb had less than 8.000 hours of use; this is less than 1/3 the manufacturers rating. Dear manufacturer, please STOP making false claims about product longevity.

Extremely bright, just what I needed
This was a perfect replacement for some halogen track-light bulbs that had burned out. Because these are LED, I could go up in lumens to a 100W equivalent bulb without exceeding the rated load on the track-light sockets. The existing halogens weren't bright enough to illuminate the reading nook adequately, but these are great for that purpose. For most room lighting I prefer 5000°K color temperature, but these warm-white 2700°K bulbs are perfect for that reading nook.

2700K light blasters
Best brightness available anywhere for LED R20 (sometimes called PAR20) bulb which is a huge plus and the reason for my purchase. I have a very high ceiling and the bulb has to be able to stick to my suction cup in order for me to change it out, these bulbs do the trick whereas many others don’t.The only problem is they are 2700K which is yellow and ugly, dated. Cree WHY do you release a new top of the line product like this and release it in ugly 2700K? PLEASE make this in 3000K. 4 stars for not offering in more color temps.

Cree makes amazing bulbs
Replaced standard 45 watt bulbs with these 14 watt leds. They say they are equivalent to 100 watts. Believe it! They are definitely more than 2x brighter at 1/3rd the energy. The light throw is excellent as well. They turned a basic track light into a grow light center in my sun room for the shorter winter days. Definitely saved me $ not buying additional plant grow lights. They do produce some heat, but no where near incandescent bulbs.

DO NOT BUY
Don't waste your money in these bulbs. They don't last even a year in most cases. Cree does honor the warranty, but how often do you really want to sit in the phone and go through all their questions to wait 3 weeks for a replacement light bulb?We purchased 8 of these for a large track lighting fixture on our living room. Within just a few months, 2 died. Won't come on at all. We had just figured we got a couple bad ones and ordered replacements. I called cree and they ran me through the questions and then sent me 2 replacements which I figured we'd keep as spares. A couple months later, 2 more had died and had been replaced with the spares from cree. We're maybe at 6 months here. 4/8 DEAD. By 1 year 8/8 had died and replaced on our dime as I don't have the time to sit on the phone for 20 minutes and wait 2-3 weeks for a replacement light bulb.Currently sitting in the living room with 2 dead bulbs. So in a total of about 1.5 years, 10 out of a total of 16 bulbs are dead. Incandescent bulbs have 3X the lifespan on these. We're are not buying any more and will find some other bulb to replace them with. Search the other reviews. I am 100% certain that you will not get more than 6-8 mo out of these bulbs.

These lights are AWESOME!
These lights are extremely bright and have been an excellent upgrade in my kitchen. Previous light bulbs I had were about 550 lumens and putting these in (1400 lumens I think?) has made the kitchen crazy bright!Originally bought two just to try them out but ended up buying two more because I liked them so much.Would only recommend in areas you want to be really well lit. Light color is very nice and warm too.

Very warm, bright light
It is almost impossible to find this size of bulb that is a 100W equivalent. This was my solution, and it made all the difference in a room that used to be under lit. Expensive? Yes, but worth it.

The only R20 LED light to offer that luminosity.
Gave the much needed light in my wife’s quilting room.
