Good Coup Gone Bad: Thailand's Political Development Since Thaksin's Downfall
M**R
Thai Military Coup is not Solving the Thai Political Situation
It is a good analysis of the problems that are plaguing Thailand since the Thai Military ousted Taksin, and later Tasin's sister Yingluck governments. The 'Yellow Shirts' think that the 'RedShirts' of the Thai North and Northeast are uneducated peasants and that the Elite in Bangkok should have the only say in running Thailand. The military seems to be siding with the Bangkok Elite against the farmers of the North and Northeast of Thailand. Political commentators think that when the Thai King dies that the situation will become much worse than events in the recent past.
