Love this item!
It's a paw pad moisturizer that does what it says (although, I don't think any of these products are intended to replace vet care for seriously cracked or damaged paws).I bought this for our puppy to keep them "baby soft" as a preventative after noticing her paw pads starting to become rough. At first she was hesitant about "dipping" her paw directly into what is like a waxy cream so I scooped a tiny amount out of the container and messaged it onto her paw pad and each nail pad and she seemed to like it enough to easily let me do the same on her other feet.It has a baby powder scent and doesn't leave a residue. I think it's meant to keep or restore minor rough paws to soft paws and did. I noticed a difference after leaving it on over night. Our dog was curious about it but not interested at all in licking it off - overnight and paws were as soft as ever! The labeling is a little confusing because it says "healing _remedies_" at the same time as saying "prevents, restores & protects" - It's an after-walk/play product to GUARD playful paws from the elements. --- I definitely would NOT consider this or any of the products in this category a "remedy" for severely cracked paw pads or a "sealant" as a way to deal with floor-skidding because it isn't medicated and not intended for nail treatment or to replace regular vet/grooming care. But, if you're looking for something to keep your dog's feet healthy, help prevent paw damage or provide soothing moisture to natural chaffing that effects and builds up on paw pads, this is an excellent product that can spare your dog many paw-related problems because we tend to think a dog's feet are shoes and they aren't.I'm keeping this item on our must-have list of cool products to promote dog health and this one is easy on and smells great!!!

Works wonderful
I absolutely love the product for my Shih Tzu! He's feet were alittle sore from the salt from our winter snows. I saw this on Amazon use it daily now. His pads on his feet are so soft and not sore anymore. Plus Gizmo loves it too. Also smells amazing!

Dog Didn't Like It
I think it's very good value and very moisturizing, but the dog was not a fan of it. After I used it on her paws, she became very dramatic and would not use her paws until it was removed with a towel. I think it was the smell most of all that bothered her-- it wasnt bad, but it wasnt great. Just a generic lotion smell. If I had less of a spoiled princess, I think it would have been great.

Dog paw pal
I never knew a dog's paws needed lotion. Our tin is round which works fine for rubbing her paw around on the tin and then rubbing everything into her paw.

Great for Elderly Dogs or Special Needs Dogs
I needed to find a wax-based product for my small dog, who recently underwent surgery for degenerative disk disease. After scouring the internet over the course of a few days, Paw Guard was the only wax-based product that was organic (if you dog licks or eats it, it's perfectly safe), made especially for hardwood floors in addition to inclement weather, and wouldn't stain carpets and other surfaces (the last one was especially tricky, as other wax-based products of this kind can stain surfaces). I also love that I can use this product for my older dog, who has a series of hip problems and has trouble on hardwood floors. Putting the wax on your dog's paws is extremely easy - you can either put their paw directly into the wax pad, or use a small bit on your finger and apply it to each paw pad. It dries in a few seconds, and it significantly helps my dogs get around on all types of surfaces. I haven't had a chance to try it out in the winter, but it's safe to say that this is a good product for many types of ailments that prevent dogs from getting around due to age or other factors.

Pawdicure
Easy to apply, although doggy does not like his paws touched so much he does not seem to mind too much this product. I usually put socks on after to prevent "paw prints" on the hard wood floor until the product has dried/been absorbed by his paws. Not sure of the efficacy of the product to protect from salt, but it seems to keep the paws hydrated.

Good for winter and all year long.
Good stuff. We have too much snow and ice right now and this is keeping my dog's paws soft and protected.
