I was looking for a air powered upholstery gun to do the interior of custom caskets that I build. Because of the narrow inside corners that needed to be stapled. I needed a staple gun capable of reaching into tight corners. This gun works great. It can get into corners without much problem, and the swivel connector on the end of the gun helped keep the air hose out of the way. The gun is lightweight and has good trigger ,just a slight squeeze with the finger releases the staple mechanism(but not too slight). I also liked the adjustable air vent on the top of the gun. I can turn it away from the cloth and keep any possible oil/air off any light colored cloth I am stapling.This is a updated (11/27/2012) review on the Air locker staple gun. And as of 9000 or so staples later. The gun has had it. I use it weekly so it was not an every day type of thing. I really like the long nose on this stapler, because it can get into tight corners. But the durability of the metal pin/shaft is the problem. I have had 2 of Air Lockers guns and the metal pins have not held up. I have 2 Porter Cable staplers that I use on a regular daily basis, and they still work. The Air Locker staplers are only putting 22 gauge wire staples into soft pine at 70 p.s.i. so it's not like I am abusing the stapler. If you are looking for a durable upholstery stapler I cannot recommend The Air Locker brand.

I do not want to say anything bad about the gun, because for some reason I only used it for one day and it lost a screw and fell a part, I have 2 other guns but need one with a long nose to do a special job, I cannot get the return policy to work for me, the reason will not let be drop down the choices so I can complete the return policy..I do hope your company sees this and tries to help me..Thank you, I do give it 4 stars as it worked fine for one day, and maybe it was defective.

Purchased this in June. Could not get the staples to shoot. Ordered another brand stapler and had the same problem. That company had customer service department. The problem with both staplers was the way we were putting the staples in. Unlike an office stapler, these staples are put in the opposite way. If you still have your gun, try putting the staples in upside down what you think they should be and see if it works for you. I can't understand why this simple instruction is not included on the website.

This stapler is not what your looking for, all the features and long nose are great, but I shot half a row of staples and the drive pin separated from the piston head. I replaced the driver (which it comes with a total rebuild kit, that you will be using). After the second half of the row of staple the second driver broke in the same place. I was shooting 1/4" staples through felt into soft pine. I had to return the stapler and get a refund, there is no information to even contact Air Locker for any warranty. So if you pass the 30 day return from the seller your stuck with a defective tool. I am going to probably try the Porter Cable stapler, it does have a shorter nose which sucks, but at least I know they stand behind there tools.I use air guns all day everyday and this one is not meant to last.

I purchased this stapler to help me install convertible covers and headliners in hardtops. (basically upholstery). I also used short leg staples. 1/4" leg. Sometimes the short staples broke within the gun, but it was easy to clear. Did the job nicely. THe long neck came in very handy.

Some reviews told about the hammer breaking, so I was hesitant. So far it's worked fine. Drives the staples well and nothing has broken after a couple hundred shots. It's not on par with my Hitachi or Duo Fast staplers, but it's doing a good job.

It works great, espicially for tight places. The long nose does make it eaiser to get a tighter fit. We had a long nose before but it only lasted about 2 years. I hope this lastes longer than that! As of now I would rcomend it.
