Very handy for lighting candles especially in our household where lighters just seem to get up and walk away, I seem to have a lighter thief in my midst! It’s always the way isn’t it? And it’s always the person who denies it the most that gets caught out one day when you ask to borrow a lighter and they have a pocketful of contraband for you to choose from!With the cost of electric and heating soaring this could come in handy if our energy supplies are cut off. I can light candles when the electric bill gets too high and we can try to warm ourselves on them at the same time.. maybe I should get some marshmallows to toast so we can try to pretend this current cost of living crisis is actually a fun adventure and not woefully depressing.

The battery is no good on these u light 1 candle then its dead

It's the second one I've bought as they're easy to use and less faff than a lighter.Unfortunately the USB connection for charging isn't great, and won't charge anymore. I do like this over a lighter, will just be looking for a better made one next.

I've been using this for over 3 months and am extremely happy with it. Only reason I dropped a star off review is that, if used every day, battery does go down quite quickly. Minor point though as its such great value for money (seen exactly same item for twice/three times the price). I would add that other reviews that complain that it stops working. Well, yes it will if the wax isn't cleared. If that happens I run the end under very hot water for few seconds (or very carefully scrape off the unwanted wax carefully with finger nail) and it always comes back to life.

This gadget is an excellent alternative to matches and conventional lighters. The charge is quick, and lasts six or seven different uses. A well deserving addition for such situations where it's too difficult to light.

it's worked really well. it has been 2 years since i bought it and it still works fine.

This is much easier than messing around with matches or lighters,keeps your hand well away from the flame and it's rechargeable so no batteries to buy.
