This takes paint well and fits nicely on the derby car giving sleek appearance. Coupled with a thin car design, it is almost perfectly the target weight. You have to remember it is a lead so if you decide to drill or cut on it, be cautious with residue around little ones. It is fine once you paint it.

With a slim and narrow profiled body this weight helped my Cub Scout win his Pinewood Derby! Item came well packaged and exactly as described. Was easy to paint too!

I superglued it to the top of the derby cars (I have 2 cub scouts) after we were done with sanding and painting. Loved the ease of use. Didn't have to drill holes, stuff weights in, fill them in, etc...

Weights seemed to be really off.

You have to glue it on and paint it (for safety to hide the lead), but this works great. It was more than 3.5, but with our car, it didn't matter. This worked perfectly and we got it in time to get it on the car. Thanks!

Worked perfect, the weight was spot on. We used superglue gel to attach it to the top of the car before painting it.

Prefect for placing weight where needed for maximum speed.Be aware that you will need to attach this by glue or by drilling a small hole in it and using a screw to secure it to the car, as it does not have a stud that can be inserted into a drilled hole in the car.
