This picture is so funny. I hate how small it is, but it is on a piece of metal. I wish I could get it on canvas or even poster.

The background is taken from a famous painting “The Scream,” which the artist described as a perfect brilliant sky which awakened the senses. In the original classic painting the artist painted a screaming man, grabbing his face with both hands. (The artist may have had mental health issues, or been under an extreme deadline?).For those who like chickens, an impressive rooster peers out of the frame instead of the screaming figure. I imagine that if the brilliant sky didn’t induce a scream, a rooster popping in that close just might!So, it is a colorful, nicely done spoof of a classic painting; just slightly unnerving. Bright and colorful picture for someone who appreciates the dark side of roosters and brilliant seaside skies. Someone who is unfamiliar with classic art may not understand why the picture has slightly alarming vibes, but should still enjoy the colors and detail.

Hilarious. Bought it for my parents for their chicken coup, but they put it in the wall of their house where they sit on their deck! Makes everyone giggle. And it’s kind of beautiful.
