Solid product with minor flaws
I recently upgraded my shaving equipment to improve the quality and comfort of my shave, and my choice for safety razor fell on this one.I am using it with Feather blades and the Tabac Original shaving soap.I previously used the ultra cheap super-budget plastic safety razor by Wilkinson Sword, which I picked up in a supermarket years ago. This razor is a straight and significant upgrade in almost all areas:It provides a very smooth and painless shave. In fact it's so smooth I initially worried if it cut at all, which it does of course. In fact it cuts very well. I have some patches on my lower neck with very thick growing strands of hair that I used to have trouble with. I now have to give the area far fewer extra strokes and it's not irritated afterwards. The design is timelessly elegant in its simplicity and it's just pleasing to look at.There are a few things which are not perfect though:The grip is very smooth and it's a bit awkward to hold if you get it wet. This only takes a bit of practice or a quick wipe to take care of though. The head is a bit weird to take apart, you have to unscrew the whole thing and then take off the lower safety bar to access the blade. Would be nice if you could just screw off the protection. It's not a big deal, since I use every blade for a week at least and don't do it often.Since the head is metal, it gets hot quickly when you wash off residues in your hot shaving water. It always takes a bit for my skin to accomodate to the sudden temperature change - it might get painful if you leave it in the water for a bit. There is a lot of play in the head holding the razor, it can shift in angle by about 1-2mm. I have to keep it straight by pressing on it from both sides when screwing it tight, to ensure a maximally comfortable and effective shave. This does not take more time than normal, and getting it wrong does not seem to risk injury, only minor irritation. As these errors are all rather small, the instrument is among the cheapest, and the shaving experience is very pleasant and clean after all is said and done, I wholeheartedly recommend the product to anyone who has to budget. For someone with money to burn, I would look elsewhere.

Great shave, environmentally friendly
Great, smooth shave. Worth spending a bit extra for on this for a better shave especially as it pays for itself if you are swapping for Gillette etc cartridges, and it's pretty much plastic free so much better for the environment.

Good clean shave. Only slight grumble. Nothing much. Handle little slippy. Not too much though
Handle little slippy. Not too much though. Clean shave. Worth the cost. Bought more expensive one before, and this out performs it.

Loving this tool.
Ah yes, I am truly enjoying using this old school razor. The whole ceremony of opening the housing for the blade and making sure you don't cut yourself in the process, closing it and hearing and feeling the blade smoothly shave off hair...love it!The shaver smacks of quality I like the weight of it. Obviously, the quality of the blade determines what kind of shave you get but the shaver is well made and holds the blade securely so your ensured of a clean shave with every stroke (depending on how hard ones hair is that is).I would not hesitate in recommending this razor.

Arrived open and without blade
Arrived with the box open, so looks like it was likely a return. It also had no blade, unlike the customers on the FAQ section. I have just checked the side of the box and there should indeed be a complimentary blade included which never came.Would like the manufacturer to give me some answers. I like to think I’m very fair on these things so please could you send me what it is supposed to come with?!Slightly disappointing experience to be honest after the decent reviews :(

Just used it for the first time and I like it!
This is my first safety razor. I chose this one partially because of its size. Its longer than most, and has a good weight to it. Its a good looking razor that appears to be made of great craftsmanship. It didn't shave as close as one of the plastic multi blade models you get from the supermarket, but that is probably because of how little pressure I applied. It came with a Feather double edge blade which was incredibly thin and scary sharp. Ive read some horrific accounts of people having really bloody experiences with safety razors the first time they use them. So I decided to err on the side of caution, and not a knick was to be had. I imagine as I get used to the new razor, I will become better at wielding it, and get a better closer shave. ALSO, I have body hair that is in constant need of attention. I used this on my shoulders and despite the length of the hair, it did not clog, or get clogged in the razor like it always does with the plastic ones. Overall. I am very happy, I save money (blades are about 30 cents to replace) and no more plastic razors sent to the land fills. Now I just have to figure out how to dispose of the used blades. I bought one of the razor blade banks for short term storage of used blades, but just tossing them in the garbage sounds potentially dangerous.

ECCELLENTE
