Get one of these while they're still around
Years from now people might be searching high and low for one of these. These things are great, considering the price. My usual amp until I got this one was an Orange Crush 35RT which is an excellent amp and I still love it. The Orange is also the solid state amp that I've used that comes closest to some tube amp characteristics, and it's analog. But there's still a huge gap between it and this actual tube amp. My Les Paul absolutely roars through this one in a way that I've never heard before, but it also brings out more in dynamic shading -- the EQ settings are actually pretty meaningful on this amp. Also this amp is incredibly loud for 15 watts. I usually run it on the attenuated 1 watt setting and it still can be disturb-the-neighbors overwhelming. The reverb may not be the absolute best available, but it's very good. It seems solidly built and it looks great. I haven't used the effects loop but it's great that it's available. My only complaint thus far is that I wish it had a detachable power cord. I highly recommend this one for those who are curious about tube/valve amps and have ~$250 to spare.

Sounds good, great price, Nice!
I have two JCM 800 50 watt amps. I love them. One combo and one head..Rarely do I get to use them properly as in turn them up past 1 on the master volume..I saw this amp and thought about it,***%$***; I also have a Marshall Valvestate that I use mostly, it’s ok for practicing at home. Oh look they took $20.00 off the price, I think it was $259.00 so I got it..Came packaged very good, looked nice, sounded good. Sounds better through my Harley Benton 2/12 with Celestian V-30’s. Some say in their reviews to take it to your tech to be biased. I can agree with that though I have not yet. Their very busy.. All in all it’s a great deal. Will it last as long as my 800’s from the 1980’s .? One can only hope…

Love this amp! Great practice tube amp
Prior to buying this amp, I had read and seen many, many reviews stating how great this lil' 15W tube amp was. Everyone said that it was THE best bargain in tube amps. I was skeptical, as Stage Right/Monoprice isn't exactly a household name in the guitar world.I was wrong to hesitate. This amp sounds great. It gives you all the sound and "feel" of a tube amp. It has a nice gain breakup, as you'd expect. The EQ section is very functional. And the ability to choose between 1W and 15W makes this a great option for apartments or houses that have kids.It sounds really good as a pedal platform, but also just on its own as a blues/classic rock machine. I find myself playing this amp way more than I play my BOSS Katana 100 MKII. It's a no-frills amp that just rocks.

Cool practice amp
This is a great value for a cool practice amp. Enough volume/gain headroom to get satisfying crunch or clean sounds. Not a terrific tonal range, but it is a cheap amp — not a miracle. As others have noted, the front panel knobs are difficult to read, unless you are in the exact correct position to ward off the reflections on the printed metal. I find this item useful at home.

Amp
This is a reallynice amp.. it was quite a bit bigger than what we were expecting. It sounds great. It's easy to use just like any other amp. Not had any problems with extraneous noises or squeals. We ve used it with a bass guitar, acoustic guitar, and an electric guitar and it sounds good with all 3.

Great little amp
This amp has real tube sound, is lightweight and loud enough to keep up with a loud drummer. The reverb is good. One suggestion. I replaced the V1 12AX7 tube with a 12AY7. This gives you a little more clean headroom. This is a common tube swap for a Fender Tweed Deluxe. (Originally they came with a 12AY7 in V1).

It's basically weightless
I bought this amp for rehearsal and gigging. I haven't got a chance to run in band context yet but I've been playing it at home for a few days and I'm happy with it. My fender DeVille weighs a million pounds so it's not my very favorite thing to carry around but the monoprice weighs practically nothing so it's super manageable to move around to wherever it needs to be. It's relatively loud for a 15 watt, I can't dime it in the apartment and I'm pretty sure it'll outrun an ac15. It sounds pretty okay, it doesn't have an immediately identifiable character like a vox or a fender would but it'll kinda estimate either with some tweaking. Mostly it does something similar to any kind of small inexpensive tube amp, it's a little rememiscent of the old Silvertone type stuff. I run it more clean than dirty with gain stages out front and throwing a really hot signal at it yields that kinda bitey attack you'd get from those older amps... It sounds a little cheap in that way but sort of endearingly. It seems like it'll work for a gigging context mostly in a situation where your venue has a front of house system. It's loud enough to run pretty open on stage without irritating your sound guy too much and mic into a pa for filling a room. It's got plenty of bass response but it does get a little boomy on the low end if you crank it. That probably has as much to do with the amp as it does with the nature of 12" drivers in general, I kinda prefer 10"There's downsides to it as well. It smells like glue, the grille cloth isn't quite straight, the chickenhead knobs are a little cheap looking as is the pilot light bezel, and I don't just love the little tube emblem or mirror finish on the face plate, and some of the screws in mine are a little haphazard but I'm planning on building a new cab for it and choosing my own speaker complement anyway. I also wish the power cable was detachable but it's possible to modify that, maybe not easy per se but doable. It comes with jj tubes which I like, and the stock speaker is pretty much what you'd expect. Being that it covers a decent bit of territory sonically, you're probably not gonna love it with everything set to noon, and you wanna heat cycle the tubes a few times before you decide how you feel about it. The handle is great though, especially for as light as the cab is.It's worth $250 but I'd be even happier if I'd bought it when it was $200. It may or may not be a great first tube amp. Sometimes it's best to make your first purchase something you kinda lust after and I don't expect this to be that for many people but the price is hard to beat and especially would be for somebody who's only recently contracted gear acquisition syndrome. I'd worry a little bit about giving one to someone who doesn't know how to properly care for an amp because the control panel has some cheap parts on it that may not be incredibly durable, and also because I've heard that the grid bias from th factory varies some and it's probably good to adjust it.It's fabled to be the same circuit as the Laney cub 12r and it costs about half as much, but you can also tell exactly where they saved that cost on it. Mostly I think it's good for what I need which is an amp I can haul around easily and not worry a ton about it getting broken or stolen, and something I can put a little bit of work into. If you're debating it, buy one. Find a coupon code if you can. They resell for a good chunk of what they retail for. Honestly it costs about as much as you'd spend in parts trying to build a clone of something else small. Transformers are expensive. If you end up not liking it maybe try another speaker in it before you chuck it.

Excellent tone and a true tube sound.
What’s not to like about this amp.It has enough power to keep up in a studio and the sound quality is great.Overall a great practice or session amplifier for a good price.Excellent value for the money.

Shockingly good sound!
15 watch is plenty loud, it looks nice, it is durable, and over time I will see how good it is manufactured. it sounds shockingly good considering the inexpensive price.I am very happy, although, I should have purchased two of them.

Great All Tube Amp at a Great Price
I've had this most of 2022, and mainly used it for in home practice on the 1W setting. This amp sounds great. Recently, I started practicing with a band, doing rock and roll and punk cover songs (Sex Pistols, Green Day, Cheap Trick, KISS, Ramones, Nirvana...). I was skeptical whether this amp would be loud enough, clear enough, and cut through the mix of the other players. I was wowed by how good it performed, and so were the guys I was practicing with. I can see why the price keeps inching up on this amp - IT IS WORTH IT. Smooth, clean tones, great edge of breakup sound, and you can really drive tubes on this thing - crank the gain and let it rip... sounds best with my Les Paul humbuckers, Telecaster bridge or neck pickup, or my Les Paul Jr. p90 pickup. My strat with single coils - not so much.I gave this a 4 Star overall review, simply because the effects loop does not function - I'd use it if it did, but frankly, I don't care. I can live without it.

Wow ! This is an amazing amp
I have no idea how monoprice can sell an 15 w all tube amp with a 1w attenuator a real spring reverb tank and a celestion 70/80 speaker with and effects loop and ext speaker out jack for 375 Canadian.. it just doesn’t seem like something this good could even be built for that price . The build quality is solid and it has a really warm tone . Great clean sounds or turn up the gain for a nice buttery drive sound . It’s really amazingly loud if you want but with the attenuation you can play quietly and keep that nice tube tone. The effects loop is an awesome addition to this amp and was a must for me . This is an amazing amp that sounds great with dirt pedals in front and let’s me keep my modulation and time base effects after the preamp where they should be. I’ve played on a lot of different tube amps and this one gets the same great tones as any or them and is a mere fraction of the cost . If you want a nice tube tone this amp delivers with 3 12ax7’s and 2 el84 JJ tubes. So check it out before you drop over a grand on one of the well known amps at a music store. You will be pleasantly surprised and with the money you save you would have enough to get a decent guitar or put a good down payment on a really sweet one . Best gear purchase I’ve made in a while and I’d definitely buy another if anything happened to this one .
